  1. Thaks for your reply. When hot plug is activated in BIOS, macOS shows the drives capable of that feature as external (orange icons), some users don't like that and apply this patch for change orange icons (it's just a cosmetic change). I'm facing the oposite situation, I activate hot plug in BIOS but the icons don't change to orange as supose to, and Disk Utility report the drives are not ejectable, even using the second patch posted by SunKi (post #185).
  2. After patching, do the HDD icons shown as external ? (orange = hot swap capable) I applied the patch but nothing change: <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Fix hotplug for 10.13</string> <key>Find</key> <data> icglQGACAD1AIAAAdQyB4b9///+Ji1EBAAA= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleAHCIPort</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> kJCQkJCQkJCQkJCQkJCQkJCQkJCQkJCQkJA= </data> </dict> </array>
  3. macOS 10.13.2 Update is out

What SMBIOS definition are you using? I own the same GPU and I can't get sleep / wakeup working, even following your advice.
  4. AMD R9 290 (non-x) issues in Sierra

Yes, it worked !!. I followed your advice and used your config.plist with Graphics > Inject > Ati > YES (NO was selected). Now I get QE/CI working, but not at 100 %, there are some blinking image and my monitor is detected as a television now (HDMI connection), and when I shut down the system, it starts a loop of rebooting. I suspect it would be necessary to inject ports. By the way, I appreciate your help, now I'm closer to get the system working like in El Capitan.
  5. AMD R9 290 (non-x) issues in Sierra

I didn't done it that way, I just connected two cables from my monitor (one VGA and another HDMI), to the internal GPU (VGA), and R9 290 (HDMI) and then reboot with IGPU activated. I will follow your advice and see what happen. Thank you for your help.
  6. AMD R9 290 (non-x) issues in Sierra

That's great!. I have the R9 290 too, but there is no way I can get it work, even with IGPU activated in BIOS. Can you share your config.plist so I can try it, please ?
  7. New AppleHDA Patcher

No errors in console. Just for curiosity I tried selecting ADI 1988B codec in the secondary machine with ALC898 codec actually installed, and the results were the same. Seems like the problem is when the ADI 1988B codec is selected. Both machines are running El Capitan, so AppleHDA.kext are the same.
  8. New AppleHDA Patcher

Hi, I want to use the aDummyHDA.kext but it don't work. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the app don't generate any config.plist, neither correct my own when dragged into the window app, also no HDAEnabler.kext is created. Tried to use the full patched AppleHDA.kext too, but no luck. I selected ADI 1988b codec, with layout-id 7. When I use this app in other machine, with ALC 898 codec, it works OK, all the files are generated as supposed. I don't know if this is relevant, but the motherboard is BIOS based, the one where everything works OK is UEFI.
  9. El Capitan 10.11 & R9 290X * 2

It didn't work complete well, with FakeID 0x100267B0 I've not QE/CI.
  10. El Capitan 10.11 & R9 290X * 2

I've tried this settings for my R9 290 (non X) and FakeID 0x67B01002, and I can't get HDMI to work properly. I get random blinkings and black screen. I've used an DP to HDMI adaptor too, with the same results. Everything works 100% OK on Yosemite, I don't know what's wrong with El Capitan. Any idea to solve this ?
  11. Yosemite AppleHDA HDMI Audio

It's clear to me, now. I didn't knew that R9 290/290X were not supported. Thanks for your help.
  12. Yosemite AppleHDA HDMI Audio

    I'm using a Gigabytate GA-Z77X-UD5H with 3770K (HD4000)
  13. Yosemite AppleHDA HDMI Audio

Hi, I'm running Yosemite, with Clover bootloader injecting fake id (R9 290x ) for a full working R9 290. I'm getting audio from AppleHDA patched by Clover. Now I want to use HDMI audio from that card, but I'm confused. What part of the guide should I follow ?. Do I need to edit DSDT, or a config.plist is enough ?. I see links to download config-hdmi_hd4000-100.plist.zip and config-hdmi_hd4000-90.plist.zip, but, which one do I have to download ?. I'm lost here, so any help will be appreciated.
  14. Clover General discussion

Hi, guys I wonder why, not all of the kexts dropped in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10 are injected by Clover? I've tried putting them in EFI/CLOVER/OEM too, with no luck, it only inject FakeSMC.kext, GenericUSBXHCI.kext and ALEXEthernet.kext, but not, AppleHDA.kext + HDAEnabler1.kext combo, WIFI, etc. In the case of AppleHDA, the original was deleted from /S/L/E and I always rebuild kextcaches and permissions. I use kext-dev-mode=1 too, but the only way I can get them working is putting them in /S/L/E. Some help?
  15. In my case, clover stucks at the begining where all that +++++++++++++++ are showed.
