  1. Managed to build a custom libsystem_c.dylib with no ssse3 code, but it doesn't seem to work. Probably has something to do with the fact that other libraries link to it and its probably missing dependencies. Doesn't log anything just freezes in the usual place :/ Either way your going to want an ssse3 emulator cause I'm sure there are plenty of other places where ssse3 is being used throughout the entire os. I'm going to have to put the project on the back burner for now until work calms down a bit. Good luck.
  2. Been trying to get a Pentium-D to boot ML. Couldn't get anywere with a vanilla kernel. The only kernel I could get to boot was an 10.8.0 atom kernel, but it immediately died with a corecrypto panic related to ssse3. I managed to patch corecrypto to use the non ssse3 versions of the problem functions, but then an integrity test failed (I'm assuming because I modified it) and caused corecrypto to not load. So I patched the integrity test and now all tests pass and corecrypto seems to be happy. Everything seems to work fine now until it tries to start launchd. "Kernel is LP64" is where it stops. It's not frozen, just isn't doing anything (reacts when I pull the usb stick out). I'm assuming that there are more ssse3 instructions causing problems. EDIT: Removed patch
  3. Intel Wireless driver

Hey guys, Here's sys logs of the new build for you. I managed to find a kill switch app for linux that was easy to port over and compile in XCode for my laptop. So I'll I need is a method to connect. Hope you guys get this working soon! Great Job! -bholland ioreg.txt system.txt
  4. Intel Wireless driver

Hey, Is there a networkSelector for the iwi2100.kext? Cause it loads and registers perfect on my 2100. I just don't have any way of connecting it to anything. Is there development for a control method for the 2100 or has it been dropped? I might be interested in taking the 2100 on if it has been dropped. Let me know. Good job so far! -bholland
  5. Intel Wireless driver

Hey! I just tried out the iwi2100 driver on my laptop and loads up perfect! No problems at all. Firmware loading says SUCESS. My wireless LED turns on and I have a new network device detected. Reports proper MAC address as well. Is there a network selector utility for the 2100 yet? Just wondering cause I want to see if it will actually work. Great work guys! 6. Speedstep issues

Are you loading the kext manually in your /etc/rc file? I had to load the kext myself before it would register the sysctl. Add this to your rc file before the sysctl -w line: kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ACPICPUThrottle.kext replace "/System/Library/Extensions/ACPICPUThrottle.kext" with the path to where you installed the kext. I put mine in my Extensions folder so thats what I did. Hope that helps. Peace Brandon M. Holland http://www.brandon-holland.com
  7. Any way to disable speedstep?

My 1.4 GHz Pentium M laptop would automatically get clocked to 600 MHz when running on battery. So I installed ACPICPUThrottle (just the kext). Then I added this to my /etc/rc: kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ACPICPUThrottle.kext sysctl -w kern.cputhrottle_cpufreq=1400 This will load the CPUThrottle kext then set the speed to my max speed or 1.4 GHz. This fixes my problems and runs it at full speed when on battery. Hope that helps. Regards, Brandon M. Holland
