  1. Check for Hardware Video Acceleration capabilities

Sorry my mistake. I've updated it in the first post.
  2. Check for Hardware Video Acceleration capabilities

It should work on your iMac with the 9400M. Do you have Hardware Acceleration in Flash Videos? You should see it in the activity monitor.
  3. Check for Hardware Video Acceleration capabilities

Which error codes? It should run on: GeForce 9400M GeForce 320M GeForce GT 330M ATI HD Radeon GFX Intel HD Graphics I've testet it on a MacMini 3,1 (2009) with Geforce 9400M
  4. Video Decode Acceleration Framework

I don't think so. But you can test it with this tool: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=261104
  5. Small command line tool that checks the capabilities of your graphics hardware & OS to decode h264 videos on your GPU. Apple doesn't seems to allow all GPU's to use the System Framework, despite the fact that they have the hardware capabilities (like Geforce 8800 or Fermi cards). The tool have the same error codes like other VDA Software (XBMC) but its easier to test. On Lion with current Fermi drivers i get an error by the decoder. You can try it and post your software & hardware combination. requires Mac OS X 10.6.3 SourceCode on GitHub Feel free to contribute on Github Download precompiled binary (Intel 32/64-Bit):VDADecoderChecker.zip [Update: 09.07.2011 now Intel 32/64bit] [Update: 28.08.2011 Fixed a segmentation fault bug on Lion. Thanks to: Apple H264 https://github.com/AppleH264]
  6. fermi/gtx 480/gtx 470

Sorry but i have a Zotac GTX 460 and got random kernel panics with black pixels in the upper left corner. Maybe HDMI?
  7. fermi/gtx 480/gtx 470

I get random kernel panics with the new driver. I'm not 100% sure whether it comes from the graphic card driver or anything else. But i get no further description of the KP nor in verbose mode. Only i get a small black square in the upper left corner. Screenshot Geforce 460 GTX 8GB Ram 64-bit kernel P35-DS3 Anyone???
  8. NVIDIA RELEASES 19.5.8f03 for 285 but should also bring performance from 10.6.3 back to 10.6.4 Works also on lower cards like 8800GT. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-macos...f03-driver.html From German post: http://www.fscklog.com/2010/06/sammelsuriu...en-htc-etc.html
