SMBIOS for MacBookPro10,1 My focus right now is to get the external video ports working with the HD4000. Seems like the HD3000 guys have a found a solution, but I haven't seen anything yet for the HD4000. Hoping to figure something out soon. Kevin
  2. Lenovo T530 Working with Mountain Lion?

After a week or so of workI have 10.8.2 running on it. USB works out of the box. Webcam works out of the box. Sleep is working (uses SleepEnabler) Audio is working (uses VoodooHDA 2.8.2 - not perfect, no mic input - jacks don't match the real configuration and its a little scratchy. Bluetooth works with modification to the IOBluetooth kext HD4000 graphics with EFI string in the info.plist. No idea if the external video ports are working yet. Wireless doesn't work and won't until someone finds out how to the patch the BIOS white list - Fixed with AWL5088 USB dongle ($13 at amazon). Voltage and fan speed sensors aren't working. Speedstepping and such doesn't work yet, because I can't run with NullPowerManagement yet. Kevin
  3. Lenovo T530 Working with Mountain Lion?

Thanks! I will take a look at your thread. Its a 23945ZU. Thanks, Kevin
  4. My company just issued me a Lenovo T530 to replace my 5 year old Dell Inspiron 1720 (running 10.6.8). I am hoping to run Mountain Lion on this new Lenovo T530. Any one have a T530 working with Mountain Lion? This is the high-res model with a Core i5 CPU. The searching I have turns up a couple of T430 that are sort of working and I can't find anything on a T530. I am hoping someone has this working can provide some pointers or as DSDT file. I am going to start working from the T420 install threads tonight and see how far I get. Thanks, Kevin
  5. Same issue on a Dell inspirion 1720 laptop.... Kevin
  6. Dell Inspiron 1720 Vanilla 10.6.2

I have an inspiron 1720 as well. I used SuperHai's boot CD with a retail DVD to install. Restart and Shutdown will never work - you will always have to manually turn the system off. Sleep should work if you remove the nullpowermanagment extenstion. Sound should work with VoodooHDA but you have to put it in /System/Library/Extensions (not /Extra). Do all of your USB ports work? The 2 on the side of mine don't work and the 2 on the back only come up as slow ports with the single on the back left coming up as high-speed. Kevin
  7. Dell Inspiron 1720 USB Problem

Did you ever resolve the USB issue? I have one port thats high speed, 2 are slow and the 2 on the right side don't work at all. I have an inspiron 1720 with 8400M GS. I have almost everything working in 32 bit (except for the USB) including wired/wireless networking, audio, webcam, sleep, battery, etc. Not working is a couple of USB ports and the bluetooth. In 64 bit, I can can get the bluetooth working, but no sleep and no wired ethernet. So close.... Kevin
  8. PCEFI v9 Installer Raid Edition !

Should this work with my 3ware 9650SE? I setup the RAID a couple of nights ago and spent an hour fumbling around with PCIEFI v9 before going back. I have it booting with Chameleon 1.0.11 at the moment. I will give this a try tonight and let you know. Thanks, Kevin
  9. Hello All, Last weekend I finally had a enough of Micro$haft and installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my desktop (ASUS P5K-Deluxe, Q6600, Nvidia 8800 GTS) and my laptop (Old Dell Inspiron 5160 P4M Nvidia Go5200). The installations went great all of the hardware works on my desktop machine. It even appears to sleep and wake up properly (not that I use it much). The installation went equally well on my laptop. All the hardware worked out of the box including the wireless, video and sound. The laptop even appears to sleep correctly, however on wake up it seems to come back up but the screen stays dark. Back in the day I think I had this problem when I ran Linux on this laptop. I believe the video needs to be re-POST'd when the machine comes back up. Doing some digging I see the vbetool for Linux to do this, but I can't find any details of how to do this for OSx86. I see a lot threads where this issue is mentioned, but I can't seem to find any resolution in those threads. I would really like to get sleep working as I am on the go it would be great to not have to wait for Leopard to boot each time I sit down to work. Please let me know if any one has any thought and I will keep digging. I have lots to learn about OS X and OSx86. Soon I will be convincing my wife to let me convert her HP9500t to a hackintosh as well and the transformation will be complete! Thanks, Kevin
