  1. Hi Ioannes, I have the same board. There is on the web a "Gigabyte Snow Leopard Installer" based on Chameleon 2RC4 with Original Snow Leo DVD, for Boot-CD or Boot USB. Find ist and use it with the instructiions given. These are the files u need on Extra Folder http://www.mediafire.com/?wyoiwmmdmin. Audio does not work. Graphics ist Nvidia 9500GT Cross your fingers CoolEdit
  3. Hi IMHERETOSTAY, this may depend on that you 're using chameleon on EFI-Partition. I did not spend so much time in this issue yet , so I got no clue how to get it to work so far. Sorry CoolEdit
  4. Hi zhell, if you start the script from the EFI-Boot-i386-folder, it will find boot1h. But search in this EFI-Boot-i386-folder. If boot1 is present, it may depend on the bootsector of your HD (rdiskX). Is it GUID-formated? Did you check if it is The official GUI Installer won't let you install your custom kext and gives no choice to update them. That's all. Maybe these guys will implemet this functionality in the final release ... CoolEdit
  5. Hi borntoshort, the Slimbuild you will find somwhere in this forum. You could try the GA-EP35 ones. They will work most likely. The only difference is the ICH10 on EP45 instead of ICH9 on EP35. It worked like that on my EP45-DS3. When you want to update kext, put the new/updated kext into the Extensions folder on EFI-Boot and start the script and choose the update option at prompt. Make sure you haven't your Slimbuild CD inside. CoolEdit
  6. .. yeah, thank u! As far, I am using the HDA-things from digital_dreamers post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=149505 , but it uses the Legacy kext. It works well on my 889a Audio Codec. But mainly I use for my music studio an external USB DAW Edirol UA1000. As far, I understand u, I need ONLY your plist patched version of AppleHDA.kext on EFI-partition??? No HDAEnabler etc??? I have a similar machine than yours (10.5.7 on 10.5.2 retail, Chameleon 2 RC1 on EFI partition, Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8400, 3GHz, Gigabyte EP45-DS3R, ATI Radeon HD 3870, 2x2GB DDR2 RAM, 2* 180 GB Samsung HD + NAS, based on FreeNAS 0.7 with 2* 500GB Samsung) Yours CoolEdit
  7. .. but give the new script version a try first. I made tests only in my environment (HD 1: 2 Partitions: SysOSX and Data I, HD 2: Data II, but W7 planned) and wouldn't risk to screw my Machine. Because I use it as Digital Audio Workstation with some GB of software, wich I won't install once more. But anyway: It's good idea to have Slimbuild Preboot at hands and a external (GUID) USB HD with a complete Leopard installation with working EFI-boot-partition. Have a nice day! CoolEdit
  8. Hi fiddles101, thank u for your post. As I have a EP45-DS3 it helped me in some way with 10.5.7 kext. I made a script (EFI-Boot-i386) to automize the installation of the boot via EFI-partition (as you described in your post). In it's newly released version, it's now possible to select harddisk on wich to install EFI-Boot-Partition! Load it down from http://www.mediafire.com/file/yk42vzjntmz/...oot-i386-v3.zip and look at my post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=162580 for further information. Hope it's useful for u! CoolEdit
  9. Hi vinlar, thanx for your guide. I was these days thinking about dual boot with W7. I have the recent RC1 on my Core2 laptop and it works fine. I made new script version of EFI-Boot-i386. It's now possible to select harddisk on wich to install EFI-Boot-Partition! Load it down from http://www.mediafire.com/file/yk42vzjntmz/...oot-i386-v3.zip and look at my post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=162580 for further information. Hope it useful for u! CoolEdit
  10. Hi nameless2k! I made new script version - you can load down from http://www.mediafire.com/file/yk42vzjntmz/...oot-i386-v3.zip It's now possible to select harddisk on wich to install EFI-Boot-Partition! Maybe it is interesting for your work on EPOS - take look at the procedure setup(). CoolEdit
  11. Hi ericft, shure, you can specify your theme in the com.apple.Boot.plist, wich in the EFI-Boot-i386/plist folder. Use PlistEdit pro for comfortably changing plist-files! Have fun! CoolEdit
  12. Hi guys, I share your thoughts and apologize for possibly upsetting someone! n2k - please take a look into your inbox! CoolEdit
  13. What board, os, etc. are u using? If you haven't the right kext, they won't load or cause kernel panic. Try the kext from your Slimbuild-CD! CoolEdit Gigabyte EP45-DS3, OS X 10.6 Build 9G55 OOTB, EFI-Partition Boot, Intel Core Duo T8400, 3.06 GHz, Radeon HD 3870, 2 x SAMSUNG 180 GB S-ATA
  14. Shure! Take a look at my post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=162580 CoolEdit
