  1. Here is how my day went for reading. I managed to change my boot list so that the card is forced into a higher resolution than the 1024 x 768. I edited the kexts that are needed for my video card which is the x1400. I entered my EDID info and used kext helper to put them in their place and re checked permissions. Rebooted and I still have the same problem. The weird thing is that when I look at my hardware it shows my video card as a HD 4890. ATI Radeon HD 4890: Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4890 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: Slot-1 PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7145 Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1400 x 1050 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Display Connector: I sure hope someone can point me down the right path. Should I try reinstalling using a retail disc? Or can this one be saved? (iATKOS 10.6.3 S3 V2) I would really like to get the ATI Radeon Mobility x1400 Working with full resolution and QE/CI Enabled. Thanks, Dan
  2. Thank you for the reply. As suspected I do not see any ATI Radeon kexts installed. Now I need to figure out how to change the booting so that it uses the correct kext.
  3. I am unable to post this question in the correct area until I have enough posts. Anyways the problem that I am encountering is after I installed iatkos s3 v2. Then upgraded to 10.6.6. I think a generic graphics enabler is running inhibiting any of my edited kexts from working for my graphics card. I have tried everything in this post " http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=196083 " to no avail so I believe I am missing some step(s) somewhere along the way. My first guess would be to see what kexts are loading and I have not quite read anywhere yet as to how to see which ones are loading. Thank you in advance for any help. Dan
  4. Introduce yourself

Been lurking here for many years and installing many distros. Just wanted to say Thank you for the great forums. Posted from my dell e1705 10.6.6
  5. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Thank you for creating the installers for all the various cards it is greatly appreciated. When I was attempting to download the driver package for the 2600XT Pcie I get this error from the hosting site "The quickkey you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire." Could someone please upload a new file. Thank you, Danzo
  6. install with abit ip35 pro

I have the same exact setup as darkunitzero and have not figured this out either. There must be some sort of F8 or bios way to select the drive on boot up. Unfortunately the when you go into Bios you can only select "Hard Drive" and not specify which one SATA or IDE. Has anyone else figured this out? Many thanks in advance for the help.
