    iPhone 4S + iOS 9 = Bad decision

I bought my buddies 4s for $30, running 8.1.2 and have most features turned off. I only use phone, camera, messaging and FaceTime. I wish i had updated to 8.4 while I could still have restored back down. Has anyone installed 9?
  3. can you shrink the screen on the laptop until it fits the external?
  4. I haven't used 10.5 in a while, so some of my ideas are no good: If you qui the finder, will that resize anything? Can you shrink the desktop on yer laptop to make it fit on the external monitor? does external monitor show up under system profile?
  5. Have you tried the physical menu options on the monitor? Does 10.5 have detect monitor? just a guess.
  6. How was dealing with Apple store and ibooks? How long did it take to get approval? I am looking into doing ibooks and am looking for feedback, and poiinters if you have any.
  7. Seeing step 4 of 9 says " NOTE : when you install it on a partition skip step 5 - 10 see Chapter 4" I have been skipping 5-10 as I am installing it to a partition. This is how I prepped drive: 5 Preparing your SSD or HDD for install on a MBR-partitioned drive If you intent to install OSX86 Mountain Lion On the same Hard disk as your windows follow the steps below. Start>Run (or Windows key on your keyboard plus R). diskmgmt.msc (press enter after typing that) Find your drive, right-click on it, and go to Shrink Volume. Wait for it to calculate the amount of space you can make your partition, and enter in your amount (for an exact GB amount, multiple your desired amount of GB times 1024, so a 20GB partition would be 20480MB). Let it make your partition. It will show up as unallocated space. Format the new unallocated space as NTFS and give it a label (mine was ML). Do I reformat this ML partition to Journaled through diskutility with the installer?
  8. I have followed the steps to install 10.8 on a drive that has a shrunken Windows partition and a separate ML partition, as instructed. When I boot from the install usb , the osx installer is showing I cannot install to the ML partition as it has NTFS formatting. Am I to reformat that under Osx in order to install? i placed the boot files into the prepped system bolder as per instructions. thanks anyone.
  9. Thanks polyzargone, I ordered the 760 and will have it on wed., but will hold off on video card until I see what kind of power supply is in it.
  10. Looking at a refurbished 760 with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 3.0GH Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 2GB RAM 160GB Hard Drive DVD-ROM Drive Could you recommend a $50 video card that would allow both 10.6 SL and 10.8 ML? I was looking at this http://www.microcenter.com/product/357061/Radeon_HD_5450_Low_Profile_1GB_DDR3_PCIe_20_x16_Video_Card Sapphire Technology Radeon HD 5450 Low Profile 1GB DDR3 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card listed as DirectX11 and OpenGL 3.2. Other than the specs saying it requires a 400watt power supply and I don't know what the computer will come with, does it seem like this card would run both 10.6 and 10.8?.

Will my Q6600 work as a hackintosh

I've just set my xps420 up for the first time since I built two other hacks, so I wonder if I should update the bios. From what I remember, it is 10.8.3, but I had to boot off of the usb drive, or maybe I fixed it. I can't really remember the last time I used it, but thanks for the news.

    streaming jukebox iMac g3 10.4.11 600 mhz

Ended up getting camino http://caminobrowser.org/ thought security updates are no longer being developed. I would have went with mintppc.org if camino didn't do everything I needed.
