  1. MAC OS X86 on DELL D800

Thanks Human for the great instructions. Unfortunatley this did not work for me. I even did a clean install with 10.4.5 and no luck. Has anyone else have networking up and running on a Dell Latitude D610? Or can anyone let me know where to look to try and troubleshoot this issue? I looked in /var/log/system.log and can see that it is unable to get an ethernet address or find a wireless driver. But it doesnt say why. Anywhere else i can look for clues? Thanks
  2. MAC OS X86 on DELL D800

Dell D610 here with the same Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx nic. Currently running 10.4.3 (had tons of fun just to get video working) Any light you can shed MarineCorps97 would be greatly appreciated.
  3. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Dell Latitude D610 with an Intel 915GM/910ML/915MS on 10.4.3 here again. I used the "wire jumper" method described previously and have had limited success. Here is the story for me: Only way I can get video to work presently is with the -x switch (safe mode) at the boot prompt. This results in booting taking a couple minutes but ultimately the display works at 1400x1040x32. I have also tried: setting my graphics via the "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" using the -f switch Both of these boot faster but bring me to a blank blue screen with a mouse pointer I can see and move but cannot do anything else. Right clicking yields no menu, etc. It is not a second screen either as I cannot move out (span) to the second video screen. After I reboot out of safe mode i still get this blank screen with no functionality. The fact that safe mode allows video to work properly make me belive there are settings that should make video work. I see from the safe mode description that it ignores all cached video driver files. Should I clear this driver cache? How can I make these settings stick? Do i need to alter the Boot.plist file refered to in the boot prompt help? I feel like i am close to a solution here. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
  4. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Got a Dell Latitude D610 with an Intel 915GM/910ML/915MS (thats what the Darwin boot prompt regards it as anyway.) Have a clean install of 10.4.3 on there, except for some fiddling of the kext files. Still just a blank blue screen when I boot with out an external monitor attached. When I boot with single user mode and verbose switches I notice an error: a link/load error occured loading AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics.kext So i guess what ever i did wasnt much help. Any reports of 10.4.4 having better results? How about 10.4.1. I'd like to get the LCD and network working (not even my wired ethernet port is working either with 10.4.3) Also anyone with succes with this laptop lease speak up. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
