  1. My HP DV9640US shipped with a realtek hd audio card internally. With the azalia audio package installed, it seems to see the audio card (i get a volume slider and it says HD audio output in the system preferences) but i get no sound output from the headphone jacks (either of them, there are 2) nor the speakers... Any suggestions?
  2. Weird question.... Using kalyan install 10.5.2, system boots fine on my HP DV9640US (intel based hardware and wifi) everything works the way its supposed to with the following issues (way less than normal, but i was wondering if anyone could shed some light, especially my usb issue) 1) My usb ports work fine as long as the device was plugged in at boot, after boot, no new devices will be recognized at plugin (thumbdrives, external hdd's, keyboards, mice, etc. My previous installs haven't had this issue... 2) My wifi doesnt work. (known issue with the 4965AGN, hopefully we'll have one soon ) 3) My ethernet card doesnt work (worked fine using leo4all... im sure i can find a driver for it somewhere... realtek 8101 chip) 4) My sound doesnt work (go figure). It detects my HDMI audio output... but not the internal speakers... wha?.... 5) It doesnt recognize my computer as a laptop, I've seen ways to enable battery levels, but i cant seem to get them work... 6) It wont wake from sleep even though its an S3 sleep state... *sigh* so i disabled sleep. no big deal. Other than those 6 issues, compatibility was surprisingly good. Video card was recognized which i was impressed with because all of the other builds i've tried i've been stuck in 1024x768. I hear its a huge issue getting video drivers to work after the fact so i've been trying to get a build that has the keyboard and mouse (surprisingly hard) and video drivers to work out of the box before i start toying with the other issues. My biggest issue is getting USB devices to work so that i can download drivers to a thumbdrive on my other computer, and move em to my hackintosh without a reboot every time... Yes, I'm a newbie to this so detailed instructions would be extremely helpful. I'm having trouble finding something so simple as a walkthrough on how to install drivers on OS X.... Thanks in advance for your time. Paul H

burnt to dvd just fine for me like most people, but alas, invalid acpi kernel panic right at boot. *sigh* and *waits for next distro* btw, can windows users patch an iso with ppf? if so, how? i cant seem to find any documentation on it. (albeit i haven't looked very hard)

agreed. Alas, I'm directly connected to the ONE seed on 2 machines, sitting at 99.7%. Seed is only hittin me with 8kb/sec *sigh* oh well. It'll be done soon. Grats to everyone finishing soon and gl to everyone installing in the next hour .

    iATKOS v2.0i

Each of my 3 machines will be cranking about 5mb upload with QoS throttling so i can still use my connection

    iATKOS v2.0i

96.2% and climbing. Still only the one seed. all 3 machines are tied. will seed from all 3 machines (on different connections) soon.

    iATKOS v2.0i

i'm showing the file availability at 52%, slowly been creeping up all day since i started. if it continues at this rate, it should be finishing up in about 6 hours, whereupon those of us that finish first can seed and speed up the process for everyone else. there's about 200 of us all creeping along at the same % as the ONE seeder pipes it out.
