  1. I don't have that bios and my USB is working. I have the xxx.86A.0066.xxxx.. I have to have three extensions.mkext: in /extra, in /system/library and in /system/library/caches/com.cache.kext.com/startup. If i don't, most times my usb mouse doesn't work. And I have to regenerate them by hand with kextcache each time I install some kext or some installation that installs kexts
  2. I didn't notice that the second sata gets recognized. I'll switch my dvd-rw drive to that port. I forgot to say, that the solution to the long shutdown delay was the usb fix on chameleon 2! So I put: <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> On com.apple.boot.plist and now it reboots/shutdowns inmediately, and also the usb drives work, obviously UPDATE: It's weird, very weird, I just switched my dvd-rw drive to the SATA2 port, now it gets recognized, but the weird thing is...now I feel my system much more fast and responsive! I don't understand at least is a good thing (and that's while having installed SL on an old 80GB IDE drive, when I'll have it installed on the faster 500GB SATA2 drive, it will fly!! )
  3. I've noticed on this board, that disabling automatic mode on the bios makes the SATA dvd-rw drive not recognized by the bios itself. Disabling automatic mode is the only way to make snow leopard boot on this board.. This is on the 0066 bios, don't know is there is any better version, I don't have neither windows or a bootable DOS usb stick/cdrom..
  4. I got it working just by swapping the pci slot on where the sound blaster was inserted. Now it works, but if I use soundflower I get the distortion on about ONE!! minute. Without soundflower I don't get the distortion never.
  5. Thanks iorg, now I have sound! Do you experience a long delay while shuting down or rebooting? It's the last thing I need to fix on SL on this DG31PR.. well that and 5.1 sound..either with the onboard sound or the sound blaster live 5.1 I have installed but not working..
  6. Doesn't work for me Sep 5 20:44:45 localhost kernel[0]: Warning - com.kXProject.driver.kXAudioDriver declares no kernel dependencies; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.Previous Shutdown Cause: 3 Sep 5 20:44:45 localhost kernel[0]: DSMOS has arrived Sep 5 20:44:45 localhost kernel[0]: kXAudioDevice[0x5cc9400]::init: --- driver start-up, version 1.3b0 Sep 5 20:44:45 localhost kernel[0]: kXAudioDevice[0x5cc9400]::initHardware(0x5700b00) Sep 5 20:44:45 localhost kernel[0]: kXAudioDevice[0x5cc9400]::free() Sep 5 20:44:45 localhost kernel[0]: kXAudioDevice[0x5cc9400]::free_all() - iKX interface already closed
  7. I also have a DG31PR, ALC888 not working, none of the solutions on that thread helps. Is true that sound quality is so bad? Would a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 be better? although I don't know if there are 64bit kexts for the live, as I can't boot on 32 bits mode.. EDIT: 32 bits mode working, sound blaster live not, installed kx kext, but no audio...

    My experience is very similar. ASUS HD 3650 AGP 512MB DDR2 (95961002), without Natit I can boot at 1024x768, no resolution change, no qe/ci... but with Natit, it lock ups on apple logo loading screen, just before the blue screen with the mouse cursor, that screen never gets shown. iPC 10.5.6 with voodoo kernel. I cannot boot into safe mode -x, the same problem happens. The only thing I can do is boot into single mode -s and remove Natit.kext and Extensions.mkext and reboot with -f, and then I get againg the non-Natit mode.
