  1. Network Solution for Leopard

    Fortunately I have drivers for it too,but as soon as i install and reboot I didnt find any new interface in the network preference.One firewire,bluetooth interfaces are available.Am I missing something here??According to the doc for the modem a interface called ethernet adapter must appear in the network preference.

    Seems many had success but now me.I have a very old Usb adapter and a SmartAX MT882 Modem(anyone heard of it!!).The Mac Info shows the following for the USB Adapter and it shows the Modem name correctly Version: 10.00 Bus Power (mA): 500 Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec Manufacturer: GlobespanVirata Product ID: 0x5c01 Serial Number: 00:0f:a3:50:20:d9 Vendor ID: 0x1110 The USB light in modem is also glowing.But I wonder how do i connect ??I have a Marvell 88E8040 ethernet card in my DELL XPS 1530.can anyone help me?

  5. ^ same problem for me too.Installed CHUD and disabled a core before shutdown ,but the only monitor goes off,the power led glows.I have DELL XPS 1530,Kalyway 10.5.2 installed.I've even tried the poweroff_fix but in vain.

    Theres another workaround which I saw somewhere in this forum ...just put a -f flag in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist like this <Key>Kernel Flag</Key> <string>-f</string>
  7. 10.5.3 update guide (plain English)

    I downloaded the kalyway combo update 10.5.3 and installed following the readme file there.worked like a charm.I didnt follow the guide here.will i get any problems ???AFAIK i have no problems yet
  8. First thank you sonotone for your package.I installed Kalway 10.5.2.. I got battery meter and sound working in my XPS 1530 .After reboot the sound doesnt work. Sleep to doesnt work for me I get a message that "hold your power buuton for a few secs to turn off your computer" I assume its a Kernel Panic???? Reboot or shutdown the monitor goes dead black and i have to manually turn off and restart it again I know theres some workaround to do it,but i dont understand it since im new to OSX.it would be nice if some one gimme a step by step guide to do it. Another request to all those ktext, APCI ,HDA computer jargons drive me nuts,can some one explain me tat or point a link for me to understand it??? Wi FI and Ethernet doesnt seems to work .... My system config is DELL XPS 1530 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.10GHZ Audio: Sigmatel STAC9228 Video: Nvidia 8600 GT 256MB Ethernet: Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Wi Fi: Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
