    DSDT Auto-Patcher

Hi Maldon, well I bit the dust and went AMD -- Intel chips were too expensive, and when I can get a Phenom II 955 Quad Core 3.2 ghz (overclocked to 3.7 ghz, but others have clocked it to 7.1 ghz!) for $100 why should I spend more than double the price with the intel equivalent? Unfortunately Hackintosh is not really good for AMD chips and I'm even having trouble installing Mac OS Lion (keeps on rebooting). Hopefully you can be my savior and help me get a working DSDT file so I can get an Install screen. My specs -- Motherboard: Gigabyte M68MT-S2P Memory: DDR3 4096 MBytes, Channel # Single Do I need to provide more information, or is there a program I can use to send you all my specs? I would really appreciate it so we can start building an AMD compatible motherboard list for your DSDT Autopatcher. Thanks!
  3. I have it working under windows and mac osx without resynching -- just make sure you sync under windows first, then reboot into mac and sync again. You shouldn't have to sync twice once this is done.

Apple Magic Mouse OSX86 - external bluetooth dongle

Maxos, IT WORKS! So I followed your directions, upgraded the firmware, and paired it in ubuntu first, now bluetooth works in CMOS, BIOS, I can actually select my OS at bootlevel without having to plug in the USB keyboard. D-Link DBT-120 -- heres what I have going -- CMOS/BIOS keyboard control, windows bluetooth (keyboard and mouse) control, mac (keyboard and mouse control), all without having to reconfigure the mouse, keyboard everytime. The only thing that is still not working is the 'Allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer', if anyone has a clue, please fill me in. I thought I'll list all the steps I followed (thank you to the original authors) to make it easier for others -- Step 1. Upgrade the DBT-120 firmware -- if your Mac OSX is current, you're SOL because you require tiger or some 10.5 varient to get the Bluetooth Firmware update 1.2 from Apple working. You'll have to use Ubuntu to upgrade the firmware -- directions from Maxos: Procedure: 1. Download Ubuntu and put it on a usb stick. 2. Boot from it in live mode. 3. Backup the firmware on the bt dongle: QUOTE Open a terminal and type: sudo dfutool -d hci0 archive backup.dfu (this will save the file in your home directory), then it will say something like: CODE Available devices with DFU support: 1) Bus 008 Device 004: ID 0a12:0001 Interface 2 Press 1. 4. Upgrade the firmware: QUOTE In terminal type: sudo dfutool -d hci0 upgrade Press space and drag the .dfu file to terminal It will be something like this: sudo dfutool -d hci0 upgrade '/home/ubuntu/Desktop/GenericCSR.dfu' Press Enter. When it shows CODE Available devices with DFU support: 1) Bus 008 Device 004: ID 0a12:0001 Interface 2 Choose 1. It will show something like this: Filename GenericCSR.dfu Filesize 994866 Checksum 65085dde (valid) It should show a message when it is done upgrading the firmware. I upload the new firmware: GenericCSR.zip, and my backed up firmware. DBT120.zip. DBT120: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=89079 GenericCSR: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=89080 --- Step 2 You'll need to reboot into Ubuntu again, setup the bluetooth and link your keyboard (and mouse). Step 3. Reboot, and your keyboard should now be functioning under BIOS. Boot into Windows. You'll need to get the HID2HCI stack to get it to work under Windows. Download and install BTINSTALL: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...ost&id=1885 and it will automate the process for you, setting up files and startup options. Alternatively view the thread at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12293 and follow the directions. Reboot into Windows again, and pair your keyboard, mouse. Step 4. Reboot into Mac OSX and pair your keyboard, mouse. If you have an apple mouse & keyboard you might have to turn them off and on again before it will work. Remember, always pair Windows first before Mac OSX, so you don't have to keep on repairing after each reboot. Now only if wake on bluetooth keyboard/mouse would work

Apple Magic Mouse OSX86 - external bluetooth dongle

THANK YOU. I will give this a go, I have the DBT120 but don't have Mac OS X preceding Snow Leopard, so I can't upgrade the dongle! I will update as soon as it is successful (or a failure!).

    **Updated** SleepEnabler for 10.6.5

Do not download the Sleep Enabler for 10.6.5 posted on the front page. You will get a kernel panic if you are running 64x SL.

    DSDT Auto-Patcher

Sorry Maldon, but one of my biggest problems is the performance hit using the newly generated DSDT with autopatcher -- I ran some cinebench scores, and I get nearly double the amount of FPS on my computer (my computer is shaded yellow) with nullcpumanagement.kext installed: I might have to revert to my old dsdt which I got from http://osx86.co/f57/guide-retail-snow-leop...for-g31m-t3672/ , I guess I am the only one having this problem?

    DSDT Auto-Patcher

I think it works now! I had sleepenabler put back in for some reason; I removed it, ran kext utility again, and now its waking up on sleep (although bluetooth is not working). Will try and experiment more, thanks!

    DSDT Auto-Patcher

Hi Maldon, I enabled Start up Automatically after a power failure; computer sleeps, but when I try and wake up the screen is now black, power is on -- and I have to do a hard reset (power off power on) to turn back on the computer. I previously had sleep working with even wake on bluetooth devices. Now its only the USB devices that register when the computer is sleeping, and even then it can't wake from sleep.

    DSDT Auto-Patcher

Hey Maldon, please take a look at my DSDT, I think you are my last hope. I recompiled a DSDT and now my sleep is not working. Its driving me nuts, because I can't fix it. I'm running a pretty clean system, everything else works okay now -- I've removed OSXreboot.kext, nullcpumanagement.kext, and sleepenabler.kext -- but the computer still won't wake from sleep! It sleeps fine, but wakingup causes a fullreboot. Hibernatemode is set to 0. I have enabled the GenerateC and P states in my boot.plist. In BIOS, powermanagement is set to S3. Very strange because sleep was working fine before in 10.6.5. I have no idea what I did (besides generate a new DSDT with autopatcher). http://dl.dropbox.com/u/65323/dsdt.aml.zip Thank you in advance.

What original problems with Native Power Management did you have? I'm using a G31M-S2L and autopatched but I am still using nullcpumanagement.kext because there was a performance hit with web videos (flash), and steam games (valve). Still don't know what the problem is.

    SleepEnabler for 10.6.5

Strange, tried it out again last night and it did shutdown. Perhaps I had some program running in the background preventing sleep....

    DSDT Auto-Patcher

btw, I installed back sleepenabler because I wouldn't be able to wake from sleep without it. However now, with the new sleepenabler (64x) the machine also doesn't want to sleep by itself; I have to force it to sleep.

    SleepEnabler for 10.6.5

Thanks, I'm going to try that now. Because sleep works if I *force* it, but it won't go to sleep automatically on its own. Still doesn't work I don't think the 64x Sleep Enabler for 10.6.5 was patched correctly, or is it just my machine? Right now, sleep works if its force (by the finder menu), but it doesn't work on its own.
