  1. Any help, i'm a bit stuck on here... I thought this package was compatible with every dx58so ?
  2. I'm getting the "No HPETs available" Kernel panic from the AppleCPUPowerManagement. I updated to 10.6.5 and to chameleon rc5, everything was running fine, i installed the 1.3.0 dx58So package and i'm getting this error, what can i do to solve it? i have bios 5456. thanks
  3. Hi, I'm in a pretty bad situation, i updated my chameleon to rc5 593 this morning and now i'm getting the WINLOAD.exe error when i try to boot windows7. Osx is booting perfectly. I guess chameleon erased something in my mbr. The problem is that I don't have the windows 7 install dvd at work so i can't fix it using the repair option. Is there a way of fixing this MBR error under osx or maybe a Live cd? Thank you !!
  4. Chameleon 2.4svn Official PKG Installer

I installed the latest chameleon 593 and i guess it corrupted my MBR because i can't boot no more under Windows7, i get the winload.exe missing error. the 582 installer was working perfectly.
  5. I changed smbios to Imac and i'm still getting the hiss noise on two different system: -core 2 duo, gigabyte DS3R, presonus firestudio mobile -core i 7, intel dx58So, fireface 400 Both vanilla 10.6.3 system. Do i have to use another cpupower management kext? I'm really lost, everything works great but the hiss noise is present on both system.
  6. ATI Radeon HD 2600 on Snow Leopard

I deleted the X2000 kext but i still can't change the resolution My radeon 2600 pro is id 9589, what can i do to change resolution?
  7. Yeah it works pretty well for me too, but check if you're not getting a noise from you soundcard. Do you use the macpro smbios ? are using 10.6.3 ?
  8. Same problem on a computer's friend with his presonus firestudio mobile, a noise is coming from the soundcard! That's crazy, is there known a problem with hackintosh and firewire soundcards? i found an interesting link : http://macproaudiobug.byethost31.com/
  9. Hey thanks for your replies ! So by the way: I'm using latest drivers & firmware from RME. I don't use a laptop so no ground power/noise problem. I don't use a power supply with the fireface, it's powered with the firewire cable. It's a texas instrument chip(intel dx58So motherboard) The noise is coming FROM inside the soundcard, not from the speakers, it's really strange because i don't have any noise under windows7. That's kinda weird but well, maybe if i try under leopard(or use older kext) i won't have the same issue?
  10. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Installed the HD2600 PRO(id 9589) package under OSX 10.6.2 and now i can't login ! I type my password and it tries to login and then i get back to the loginscreen ;( What can i do to remove the package since i can't login(i don't want to reinstall) ? Thanks !
  11. I've just installed snow leopard retail on my core i7 computer(DX58so motherboard), everything is working perfect but i'm getting a hiss coming from my firewire soundcard(fireface 400). Under Windows, i changed to legacy firewire drivers and everything worked perfectly but under osx i'm still getting a strange hiss noise. Is there any alternate firewire kext that will solve my problem(like under windows)? Edit: It seems a lot of macpro user are getting the same kind of problem and a patch was released by apple in may http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...10&tstart=0 http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1042 The official bug page : http://macproaudiobug.byethost31.com/ i'm exactly getting the same symptom, a friend of mine has the same problem with his firestudio... Edit2: Maybe i should change my smbios to iMac ? Is there any problem doing that on a core i7 hackintosh?
  12. Snow Leopard and GeForce 8600 GT

Same thing for me, did you find a solution?
  13. iATKOS v7 DVD 10.5.7 for Intel/AMD

    Same problem here !
  14. Conseil pour installation sur Core i7

Il n'y a donc pas de distribution disponible en 10.5.7, il faut d'abord passer par la 10.5.6?
