1. Update: It appears that High SIerra broke 4K @ 60Hz for everyone, not just hackintoshes. The screen will run fine at 4K @ 30Hz over HDMI. So far I haven't found a fix that doesn't include an adapter of some kind. Such a shame.
2. Hey all, I'm having a really strange issue. I just got the above HDR screen and for some reason it won't connect to my Gigabyte GTX970 HDMI. Things I've tried: 1. Connected my GTX970 to another screen over HDMI - Works 2. Connected a Mac Book Pro to the U2718Q over HDMI - Works 3. Connect my GTX970 to U2718Q over DP - Works 4. Booting with nv_disable=1 disables the drivers but still a black screen with HDMI 5. Changed resolution with SwitchResX to 1080p - HDMI works -> returned to 4k 60Hz -> No signal The reason I need it over HDMI is due to the fact that HDR is supported only when connected with HDMI. Is that a known issue? Any help would be appreciated.
3. AppleALC — dynamic AppleHDA patching

I tried all the audio solutions out there. toleda, VoodooHDA etc' This is the only one that gives me pop free audio. Even changing between line out and headphones output doesn't pop. Great great work. Thanks!!
4. Are all audigy rx are sb1550? Is there anything I need to make sure before getting one?
5. Thanks for the informative answer. I ordered a $1 usb dongle for now but I'll check if the audigy rx is available around my area for a permanent solution.
6. Cheap fully supported sound card for Sierra?

Just ordered one! OOB for my hackintosh, that would be a first! Thanks man!
7. My onboard ALC892 just died on me and I'm looking for a replacement. Can any one recommend a fully supported alternative? (I'd hate to replace my motherboard for that) Thanks
8. Can anyone confirm if this driver supports "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX 5.1" ? I'm considering buying it and don't have the specific SBXXXX or CTXXXX modal. Edit: Just found in another thread that it uses a different chip so it won't work. Thanks.
9. Cool! Worth the risk? I couldn't find what it offers.
10. I got a working Hackintosh with GM candidate 1. Any chance that updating from the appstore to candidate 2 will just work?
11. The problem with VoodooHDA was that my orange and green output were on the same line (Gigabyte must have changed something in the wiring of the H87 audio jacks) If I removed the orange jack I could hear sound just fine but didn't want to do that every time I'm switching between Win to Mac. Anyway, I've just updated to 10.8.5. Guess what, your AppleHDA.kext works like a charm. Had a little "cpu timer running twice as it should" problem but the new Chimera fixed it right up. My hackintosh is perfect now. Thanks a lot for your help & kext
12. Hey René_, Do you think I have a problem with that kext because my board is slightly different than yours or because I'm on 10.8.4?
13. I've installed the enabler and the appleHDA but I still get "No output devices found". Any Idea? (BTW, If I install 982 from ##### my audio device is found on layout 1 but there's no sound so I don't think it's the enabler fault)
