BFG or XFX? Thanks *edit---- i was looking at the motherboard of the MacPro and seems like theres 2 power connectors there i know one is made for the vid cards dunno about the other one? anyone know if there enough voltage going trough thoese bad boys? if so... where can i get thoese connectors? i hear there not normal size??

  6. Nvidia 7950Gx2

Hi I'm planning to buy a Nvidia 7950Gx2 card.. specifically XFX 7950Gx2 XXX Edition for my Mac Pro 3Ghz. ive read on the net some ppl having sucess with the 7950gx2 under the windows enviroment unfortunaetly it causes a kernel panic when booting into OSx?? does the new updates 10.4.8 or the new firmware update for the Mac Pro fix this problem? or rather anyone out there have luck running this card on thier mac pro? mainly casue i don't want to buy the card only to find out it doesn't work... Thanks in advance! Lester
  7. Vista RC1 on Mac Pro

So RC1 is out and decided to try this again i hade a problem in Pre-RC1 that i can't seem to install Vista onto my Bootcamp partition... Ive figured this one out... Bootcamp formats the drive as FAT32.. and Vista ONLY takes NTFS.. but the stupid thing is when you click reformat under Vista.. it acutaly formats it as FAT16... and it's why it can't be installed onto that partition.... the other factor is that that disc your trying to install it on has to be bootable... so to fix all this i made 3 partiotions on to another SATA2 drive... one for Windows (C:\)...Vista (D:\) and FAT32(E:\) just so i can transfer between all the OS... i Installed Windows XP first and made that drive primary startup disc then formated Vista parition to NTFS inside windows xp... then tried the install again of VIsta and tada no problemo so once it's all running ive stumbled into a another problem the Video Card isn't getting enough resources to function it tells me i need ot disable other system devices inorder for it to work.. so ive tried this.. disabling the extra network port... disabling the other pci express slots... even tried pulling out that extra ram board out but none of it works... and dunno what else to try out so any of you guys out there that knows a workaround or how to free up IRQ and give it ot the Vid card that would be sweet...
  8. Vista and 5536 a go!?

  9. Vista and 5536 a go!?

ive been reading some other threads and someone suggested to partiotion is below 32gb so tried that and i get the same error heres what i get... when selecting the partition Disk 0 Partition 3 (made by bootcamp 1.1) "This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu" then when you click next it will say.... "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets it's criteria for installation" also the windows vista setup gui is at very low liek 8bit colors is that normal for everyone that has done this?
