  1. Snow Leopard on VAIO P(VGN-P90HS) working!

For the GMA500, have anyone seen this video posted on Youtube, some Koreans have the P fully working, wifi, bat, GMA500, even the Camera. is it the same machine?
  2. Great news! based on a thread of dual nVidia card (PCI and PCI-E) that I read before, I successfully add a Nvidia 8400GS PCI-E card to my Zotac ion-F-E, featuring Atom 330+9400M+PCI Express x16. what a waste if PCI-E is empty while we already paid for it and the power supply as well! Remember, Macbook Pro has the 9400M (PCI)+9600GT(PCI-E), we really should go insane! Ordered Zotac 8400GS 512m low profile (no preference, just want to match Zotac brand) from newegg, since my Antec Skeleton mini-90 gives only 90w power, can not really afford 8500 or above. people said 8400GS takes only 25w power even fully loaded, well that's the perfect thing for upgrade. Benefit: Ion supports Phyx, with 8400GS and up, for my case, Phyx is enabled under Windows 7, but I didn't see much improvement, if any....some ripped 1080P movies are still unwatchable, I'm so confused by the control pannel, says enable Phyx processing to 8400GS or ION, is it a add on or a enabling? Whatever, I test both in the score system gave me the same result 3.5 and 5.4 for graphics... In SL, I added EFI string to the boot.plst, no luck, God knows why. Installed the NVdarwin, choose 8400GS 512M, and voila! Be sure in Bois, you need to choose internal GPU, not PCI-E, and your monitors must be connected to onboard ones. turns out the DVI and HDMI can be used as dual extended screen, cool. The overall graphic performance...ummmm, almost the same as it is under Windows 7, but slightly better. If some of you can give it a try, share your result!
  3. Could anyone help me to modify the bios for my nettop? please! I can install Leopard 10.5.8 but only with CPUS=1 fix, or give this error message: MAC Framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff80002bfafe): "Should have 2 Cores, but only found1 for Die0" Turns out activity monitor shows only one core, the overall performance is very poor, can not play a tiny youtube video (Video driver properly installed), cpu loads 90% at most of time, barely can do anything, poor than XP. People said turning off HTT feature of CPU in Bios will solve it, but this option is not available in the BIOS, hope someone can help me to modify it. Motherboard: Aopen BB10-BN (Intel Atom 330 dual core 1.6G, 64bit, HTT, , 2x 512k L2 cache, ICH7, GMA950) official specs link: http://usa.aopen.com/products_detail.aspx?...6&mdstl=324 Bios link: http://usa.aopen.com/userdownload_List.asp...&Model=2915 I appreciate any help information!
  4. D-Link DWA-547 with Atheros 5008 will not work

I have a Belkin N1 Wireless Desktop PCI MIMO, Version 1000 with Atheros 5008 chip. I got KP when have it installed in 32bit, unplug it, system works normally again. Here is the screenshot, anyone can find a clue from these message?
  5. fresh installed the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Server, but I could not manage to make it run 32bit mode, therefore many programs can not run. Apple explains here : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3773 Products Affected Mac OS X Server 10.6 You can use either of these methods: Method 1: Startup key combination (for current startup only) If your server uses the 32-bit kernel by default, but supports the 64-bit kernel, you can start up using the 64-bit kernel by holding the 6 and 4 keys during startup. If your server uses the 64-bit kernel by default, you can start up with the 32-bit kernel by holding the 3 and 2 keys during startup. Your server will revert to the default kernel the next time you reboot it. Method 2: On-disk setting (persistent) To select the 64-bit kernel for the current startup disk, use the following command in Terminal: sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture x86_64 To select the 32-bit kernel for the current startup disk, use the following command in Terminal: sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture i386 Note: This setting is stored in the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist file and will take effect every time you start up from this disk. If you start up from a different disk, the setting on that disk, or the hardware default, will take effect. Additional Information Keys held during startup (such as 3-2 or 6-4, method 1 above) will override the setting in com.apple.Boot.plist (method 2 above). I tried the 2nd method but no success, anyone has idea?

  7. have a successful installation of SL, with Sapphire HD 4870 w/512m DDR5 sitting on it. All works except the sleep/wake up. I hooked up one 22" through DVI (or HDMI to DVI adapter, both fine!), one 19" trough DVI to VGA adapter, works too! ---must be on the lower DVI port, or fail. Dual display is awesome, When comes to sleep, the machine did shut down everything, fans, light all gone. But when let it wake up, machine seems to be back to work while the screen just wouldn't come up. Tried the new released Netkas EFI 10.4 boot file, still no woking >.< Anyone has the same experience or solution? I don't think this has anything to do with dual display, cuz I tried with single DVI, same. Also reported by HIS HD 4870 512M member as no screen back. My specs: EP45T-UD3LR with E7200, 8GB DDR3 1333MHz, Sapphire HD 4870 w/512m DDR5 Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x9440 Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318
  8. ALC888 100% in Snow Leopard x64

WORKS!!! Gigabyte EP45T-UD3LR, ALC888, awesome! now unplug my crappy USB sound card for good! Thank you!
  9. Hi, guys, I can't manage the ALC888 on the Gigabyte EP45-UD3RL to work cause I don't have a working HDA , ALC888 under 10.5. Now I'm using Voodoo Audio , partially working only. I wonder if anybody can attach one here? Thanks a lot!
  10. Thank you so much for the quick reply, I did exactly you told me to, like this: Device (RTC) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0B00")) Name (ATT0, ResourceTemplate () { IO (Decode16, 0x0070, // Range Minimum 0x0070, // Range Maximum 0x00, // Alignment 0x02, // Length ) }) Name (ATT1, ResourceTemplate () { IO (Decode16, 0x0070, // Range Minimum 0x0070, // Range Maximum 0x00, // Alignment 0x02, // Length the output is the same: CMOS check error, then reset CMOS... is there any thing I should check beside this? I'm really bored by this issue. I appreciate all helps.
  11. I have be suffering from the CMOS reset from the every first day that I have SL on my GA-EP45-UD3RL, I modified DSDT.dsl by TextMate to : Device (RTC) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0B00")) Name (ATT0, ResourceTemplate () { IO (Decode16, 0x0070, // Range Minimum 0x0070, // Range Maximum 0x00, // Alignment 0x02, // Length but CMOS still keeps resetting, anyone could give a solution, thanks!
  12. Somebody call 911! Using EP45T-UD3LR, Asus EN8400GS 512MB, followed exactly the instruction, after system finished loading : systemShutdown false Previous Shutdown Cause: 3 NVDANV50HAL loaded and registered. DSMOS has arrived AppleRTL8169Ethernet: Ethernet address 00:24:1d:21:b4:5b ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out IOHIDSystem::relativePointerEventGated: VBL too high (96952281), capping to 20000000 then screen went black, lighted up but no nothing, hard drive seemed to be running. what's wrong with it? I've seen couple of posts on the same issue in this topic, anybody got a clue, please! try to boot without cpupowermanagement kext I suppose you are not overclocking, if you are go back to normal clock (at least until you have a stable system) Thank you for the reply! This simply gave me KP... inspired by GA-P35-DS4 experience, I succeeded. So For those who suffered from the last step to success, I suggest guys to install the package from this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=184367, install the The GA-P35-DS4 Snow Leopard Installer (Get it here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ndmrymdqgdz/...now%20Pack.pkg), then you're probably in, better boot with -v -x32 for first time . Mine now is running pretty smoothly under both 32bit and 64bit.

  14. Toshiba NB200 Thread

I successfully installed the 10.5.7 on the NB200 thanks to the drivers posted in Hackintosh by wingzero619. Again, BIG THANK YOU! instead of using iDeneb version, I perfer iPC 10.5.6 , xXx 10.5.6 and iATKOS v7 10.5.7. these are EFI ready, DSDT patched, and ready for native Apple upgrade. For my case, I can install with any of these easily. I figured out the sleep/wake up issue by using right GMA950 kext from the driver package provided by Wingzero619. your suggestion of turning off the USB legacy and charging function is absolutely right, now I get get over 7 hrs battery life and sleeping when close the lid. Now the whole machine is nearly perfect (like Bluetooth, Mic, I'm expecting for the Apple Airport Extreme N mini PCI-E card from eBay). I love my Machintoshiba!
