  2. Dell Inspiron 9300

Hello, One thing I can't seem to get to work on my i9300 is a CPU temperature monitor. I've tried them all but can't seem to get one to read the sensor of my CPU. If you have any idea how to get a temperature monitoring program running on our i9300's I'd really like to hear it. Thanks, Daniel
  3. I SEE NOTHING ABOUT ENABLING SPEED STEP. NO SPEED STEP MEAN MAX VOLTAGE MAX HEAT SHORTER CPU LIFE. YOU NEED TO HAVE SPEED STEP FOR THIS TO BE VIABLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK FRYING YOUR PROCESSOR BY RUNNING IT HOT CONTINUOUSLY.
  4. Drivers for fan control on Dell Laptops

  5. Dell Laptops Post-installer - XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, Lattitude

Hello Sonotone, I used the Post Installer v1.2 to install... SPEEDSTEP ENABLER-Because my i9300 laptop and processor is getting older now I'm wondering if this is working (supported). How do I tell if this is doing anything??? Is there an application or something that will tell me that it's working???? Don't want my old Dothan Pentium M 2Ghz to run hot. I was wondering if the Media Keys Enabler would work on my i9300. I can mute, turn volume up down without the installer. Should I be able to forward back play pause stop iTunes? Because I can't and was wondering if the Media Keys installer would help with this? BATTERY METER- WORKING GREAT TRACKPAD SCROLLING-enabled trackpad tapping which didn't work before but scrolling is erratic. ALPS TRACKPAD I'm running Leo4All v3 10.5.2 on my i9300. Dual boot XP. THANK YOU SONOTONE FOR DOING THIS. MUCH APPRECIATED!!! DAN

The drivers are not available at either Ralink nor Belkin.

Happy to help. It took many many emails just to get one response from Ralink. It took many more to get things all sorted out. In the end I received drivers with no instructions what so ever. Then I had to go back and get drivers to work with different PIDs. After a bit of trial and error I figured things out and started sharing the drivers with others and giving them suggestions on how to set things up based on my experience. I've been doing it for six months now. Hundreds of people from the U.S. Canada United Kingdom, etc. One request was completely in Spanish. It's been fun. As far as I know they have not posted these drivers on Ralink as of yet. (I don't know why). I wrote to Belkin six months ago about Mac drivers and they politely brushed me off. To this day I don't think they offer Mac drivers for the Belkin F5D 8053 adapter. I told them I'd figure it out myself back when they politely brushed me off. So here we are. What's kind of funny is that ever since I was able to use my Belkin F5D 8053 Wireless N USB Adapter with my Mac, I've used it to help others get their adapters up and running. So it's come full circle. Daniel aka totallybonkers

  11. Belkin N Wireless USB Adaptor F5D8053

Hello, I am the "fellow from the other forum" the drivers originated with me. I had the first correspondance with Ralink about creating drivers for the Belkin F5D 8053 wireless N USB adapter. After many emails they finally answered me and we corresponded about creating the drivers. Then one set of drivers was created for one PID. Then a different PID was discovered. Again I corresponded with Ralink to create yet another driver package. I have shared these drivers with hundreds of people over the last six months. I'm not surprised that they are now being circulated. You need to make sure that the drivers you download are the ones for your PID. There are two different versions of the adapter and the drivers above work with one version. In order to send the correct one to people I request their PID. I then send the correct version of drivers for their version of the adapter along with instruction on how to set things up. I've been happy to help people with this. If you want to do this right in regards to setting this up for people to download you need to label one for one PID and the other for the other PID. Then tell people how to go about finding their adapters PID. This is how you find out the PID of your adapter.... With your dongle plugged in to your MAC, Click on Apple icon in the upper left corner >About This MAC>More Info... >USB> then on the right side highlight F5D8053 N Wireless USB Adapter >below, at the bottom is Product ID: AND Vendor ID Although the drivers are from Ralink(the chipset creators) I can not verify that the drivers on their website will work with the adapter. In other words although they have given me drivers I can not say that they have posted them with the changes that make them work with the Belkin wireless N USB adapter. It was not that long ago that someone said that the ones on their site do not work with the Belkin F5D 8053 wireless N USB adapter. That may have changed since then. Daniel aka totallybonkers
  12. Wireless N on My MAC iBOOK G4

Hi, My Airport card was buggy so I had to replace it. But rather than just replacing it I thought it would be nice to take advantage of the new 802.11 N speeds and range. It wasn't easy to find a cheap and easy to install solution for my iBook laptop. I finally found that the Belkin F5D 8053 Wireless N USB adapter worked on my ibook. As a matter of fact as long as you have a USB 2.0 port this will work on your MAC. I get pretty good range with it and it downloads very fast too. So if you have a Mac and you want to get wireless N on it, this will work. Just Google for drivers. Look around for a good deal on the Belkin F5D 8053 Wireless N USB adapter. I got mine for $50.00 You may be able to find it for cheaper.
  13. Belkin F5D7050 Wireless G USB Adapter on Leopard?

Hello, I am using the Belkin F5D 8053 WIRELESS N USB ADAPTER. It's the faster 802.11n and has better range. If you are going to get a new wireless adapter why not get the faster one. I'm using it on an iBook G4 with Leopard. It will work with Panther and Tiger too. You just need a Mac with USB 2.0 and your all set. Email me if you need to know more. totallybonkers
