Hi, I am struggling a little with my network card. It says cable unplugged but about 1 in 10 times I can still use Safari to surf the net! If I boot with Knoppix CD I get the following info on the network card. (I have cut out some of the other bits and bobs) intel 82573l gigabit pro / wireless 3945abg Does anyone know how to fix this? Will the AppleIntel zip file earlier in this post work at all? This is the only think not working on my laptop (Toshiba M5) and don't want to ruin the build just for the network card which I can do without if I have to! I understood that the network card is Intel Pro/100????? I would appreciate any help on this. I am using kalyway 10.5.2 build. Many thanks. Ben
Hi, I have a Toshiba M5 laptop running Kalyway 10.5.2. All is OK apart from sound. I am new to this so have done some digging on here but I cannot find what I am looking for. I could be looking for the wrong thing though! I have no sound on my system. I have a Sigma(tel?) sound card (I think) and I jabe booted a Knoppix CD and got a codec_dump text file which should help me? This is what it shows... Codec: Generic 11c1 Si3054 Address: 1 Vendor Id: 0x11c13026 Subsystem Id: 0x11790001 Revision Id: 0x100700 I guess I am looking for a si3054 driver? I cannot find anything listed for this driver? Is it just me? Am I looking at the wrong thing? I do apologise if it is me but like I say - I am learning all the time but stuck here. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks Ben.
hyperlogic replied to ran0's topic in OSx86 10.5 (Leopard)Hi, Sorry - noob here. been using PCs for ages but this is new to me. I got the update file (Leo_ACPI_APIC_SMBIOS.zip) because I have the same problem as above. I have read to put these on the original ISO (will try Magic ISO - I have it already) but where do I put the files in the ISO? Sorry to be a pain. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. Ben.
