  1. I tried this on my Yosemite 10.10.4 and now i have no internet? how do i reverse this?
  2. I'm stuck with a system that won't even post. I installed Yosemite and installed Clover. All was working fine for a couple days. Then one morning i came down and the machine was off and from that point forward it would not even boot or post, can't get to BIOS. Upon trying to boot i do get the splash screen of the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5, but that's as far as it goes. So the fact that it does show me a page makes me think that the video card and motherboard are still ok? I've replaced all the RAM and tried a couple other sticks and the results are the same. I've unplugged all harddrives, replaced all power to MB and video card multiple times and i'm still stuck. This seems to be an issue for others and i faintly remember dealing with this myself in the past, but can't find a solution. Also bought a new power supply as that was my first guess for resolving the problem. Corsair RM750 didn't fix the problem. I'd love to keep this old rig going so i don't have to drop the money on a new build right now. Anyone have any ideas of what might be dead or wrong? Here are my spec's and again Yosemite was on and working with everything but imessage when it suddenly died. Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield | GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 | OCZ Platinum 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM (x3) | XFX HD-687X-CNFC Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5
  3. Howdy All, I've been off the forums for quite some time as I finally bought a mac book pro and no longer rely so heavily on my Hackintosh. My hackintosh is still running fine with 10.7.3 on it. I would like to get Mavericks on it and use it as a sever in my home for iTunes and Video(GoPro stuff) In the past i've had issues with different video cards. Will my current card work with Digital Dreamers latest script? XFX HD-687X-CNFC Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5 Any other specific advice for my build? OS X Lion 10.7.3 Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield | GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 | OCZ Platinum 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM (x3) | XFX HD-687X-CNFC Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5 I'd be happy to pay for some help in getting my hackintosh upgraded, does that sort of service/site exsist? thanks!
  4. I just upgraded to 10.7.4 Everything works except my dual monitors. I seem to have had this issue when first installing Lion, but can't recall the fix. I want to upgrade to Mt Lion. Can I upgrade my current Lion install so I don't have to deal with starting over with a new clean OS? Or do I need to install a clean version using the script for it all to work properly?
  5. digital_dreamer, it was "OS X Lion Install Disk" Not sure how to produce the Install log, but would be happy to provide it you tell me how/where to find them. I also needed to use this to get my Ethernet to work: http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html
  6. 10.7.4 just came out. Do I dare update?
  7. Pchild, I did just that and it worked. I'm typing this on my shiny new Lion install. Now to look for some minor adjustments - Only my primary monitor is working, no dual. thanks
  8. I've been trying to install Lion 10.7.2 and can't seem to get the Lion DVD/ISO/ESD to be detected? So far I have an external harddrive as my boot disk with Snow Leopard 10.6.7. I install SL 1.6.7 on it's own Harddrive following all the steps. Boot back up with the Boot Disk and into the new install of SL. I get in fine, but have no ethernet. From here I've tried running the Hackintosh script on the SL install, but always results in a Kernal Panic. From the new SL install I try and mount the Lion 10.7.2 but the script won't recognize it. 1. I have the DMG on my desktop. 2. Open it to reveal the "OS X Lion Install Disk" 3. Run script = "No Mac OS X Install DVD/ISO/ESD has been detected." I have a thumbdrive and another harddisk ready to install, but can't for the life of me get this to recoginze! I had this same issue with it recognizing 10.6.7 and then somehow it just recognized it. Not sure what changed. My video card: HD-687X-CNFC Radeon HD 6870 2GB - this card is being recognized in SL as HD N140 with all 2GB Any thoughts?
  9. Questions Building a Hackintosh

I am in the same boat. Stuck on 10.6.4 because of my video card. The Saphire 6870 is on Newegg for $169.99 does it work out of the box?
  10. I need to upgrade my video card. Currently running 10.6.2 with my EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB card. Who can recommend a good card that run on Lion.
  11. Would this card work out of the box? MSI N460GTX CYCLONE 1GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814127510
  12. thanks for the help. Can you point me to a few mid-to-high level options you know to work with your script - out of the box? of course it need to work with GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5
  13. I am on 10.6.2 and am ready to upgrade once i get some new hardware. I would like a 1GB video card. is this the best for hackintosh using Digital Dreamers script: nVidia GeForce GTS 250 1024MB what are some other options? Links to newegg. I want a good one that will last a while. Also are there limits to the RAM i can install in a hackintosh?
  14. I actually have several partitions on my hackintosh. I'm currently on a partition that is running 10.6.4 and my resolution is working at 1920 x 1200, but I can't play WOW. Says it can't launch 3D. Is there a way to get my video card to work or do i need to revert back to 10.6.3 or even 10.6.2 Here is what i have in the semi-working boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v pmVersion=20 -x32 boot-uuid=4B2A9A3E-0456-3DD8-8EFB-CDFB4074215E</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>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</string> </dict> </plist>
