  1. It was complicated for all of us to learn and i've already given you the information you need to fix your dsdt.aml. What your asking is for someone to do it all for you so you don't have to actually put in any effort learning about the process. I for one am done responding your posts if your not willing to take even the smallest steps to understanding how this all works. If your incapable of understanding or even putting in any time to to understand perhaps you should simply buy a mac instead of trying to build a hackintosh I have had similar issues in the past re-burning the ISO or DMG file at a slower speed with Verify on fixed it for me. The os-x dvd seems to be really picky about media and burn speed. Try re-burning the dvd at 1x with verify that worked for me Also another thing to remember is that once you swap the discs it takes some readers up to 30 seconds to spin the disk up before you can press enter at the boot prompt to proceed. So swap the disk then wait a minute before pressing enter.
  2. Here is my DSDT.ISL file for you to look at. Essentialy the fix is to insert a Method and Device entry for the 8600gts 256 meg card. Here is the method and Device entry Method (DTGP, 5, NotSerialized) { If (LEqual (Arg0, Buffer (0x10) { /* 0000 */ 0xC6, 0xB7, 0xB5, 0xA0, 0x18, 0x13, 0x1C, 0x44, /* 0008 */ 0xB0, 0xC9, 0xFE, 0x69, 0x5E, 0xAF, 0x94, 0x9B })) { If (LEqual (Arg1, One)) { If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Store (Buffer (One) { 0x03 }, Arg4) Return (One) } If (LEqual (Arg2, One)) { Return (One) } } } Store (Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, Arg4) Return (Zero) } Device (PEGP) { Name (_ADR, 0x00010000) Device (GFX0) { Name (_ADR, Zero) Name (_SUN, One) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x16) { "@0,compatible", Buffer (0x0B) { "NVDA,NVMac" }, "@0,device_type", Buffer (0x08) { "display" }, "@0,name", Buffer (0x0F) { "NVDA,Display-A" }, "@1,compatible", Buffer (0x0B) { "NVDA,NVMac" }, "@1,device_type", Buffer (0x08) { "display" }, "@1,name", Buffer (0x0F) { "NVDA,Display-B" }, "NVCAP", Buffer (0x18) { /* 0000 */ 0x04, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, /* 0008 */ 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x07, /* 0010 */ 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "VRAM,totalsize", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x10 }, "device_type", Buffer (0x0D) { "NVDA,GeForce" }, "model", Buffer (0x18) { "nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS" }, "rom-revision", Buffer (0x26) { "nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS OpenGL Engine" } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } } Look at my file for an idea of where to where to put these snippets of code in your dsdt or modify the cpu and pstate values in my dsdt and use it. dsdt.zip
  3. I assume your using chameleon to auto detect your card rather than hardcoding it in your dsdt.aml I have the exact same card as you and when chameleon detects it it detects the wrong ram size which is why i hard coded it into my dsdt.aml
  4. With what for god sake. be specific because asking for help without stating the problem isn't going to get you very far
  5. I'm not usually the type to bash on people who don't speak English as there primary language but i have to say i have no idea what the hell your asking for here and in the previous post. you should take a bit of time or better yet use the google translator before posting because it's virtually impossible to help you with your problem when virtually no information is posted
  6. [Guide] Using DSDT with the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L

Oddly enough i tried your suggestion and it had absolutely no change. Would you mind sending me yo ur latest copy blackosx i'd like to compare your and my files. Thanks
  7. [Guide] Using DSDT with the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L

Thanks to everyone's help especially Master Chief and blackosx I've managed to cobble together a working dsdt.aml file. Everything works with one small exception. I have sleep, wake, shutdown, restart, Video 8600GTS LAN, and even USB as well as Speedstep both pstate and cstate working. My minor glitch remaining is with the external hd giving me an error after waking from sleep. The USB Ports are showing up as built in with the exception of the one that the drive is plugged in to regardless of which usb port it's plugged into it still shows up as Expansion Slot AppleUSBEHCI So i'm just a tad confused. I've posted my dsdt.dsl file hopefully someone can take a peek and tell me what i've done wrong. Thanks in advance. dsdt.dsl.zip
  8. DSDT fixes for Gigabyte boards

I had a really diffucult time getting the ram to work at 1066mhz. I finally got it working but i'm curious what bios settings you used to get it to post at 1066. My biggest issue is that the system wouldn't post with the MCH set to 1.4 which is what gskill suggested If you have a minute would you mind pming me with your bios settings so i can compare? Thanks in advance.
  9. As it turns out i was able to figure it out myself. Thanks blackosx I think once i get an optimum dsdt i'd like to build a patched bios and flash my motherboard. Since this is a dedicated osx box and will never run windows i'm not concerned with dual booting.
  10. I recently upgraded my bios to f11b. I downloaded your dsdt.aml for use with f11b and it works The problem is the no graphic no ethernet built in. Can i add them to your dsdt.aml or do i have to create from scratch. I did try and create from scratch and do a compare to your file to figure out what changed but was unable to figure out how to add the graphics card manually If it helps i'm running an 8600gts 256 meg card Or if you can tell me how to add it it would be appreciated.
  11. A little Help for those trying to get a Gigabyte P35-DS3L working properly with 10.6.1 This Zip file contains a DMG with my /Extra folder as well as the Most recent F9 Bios for the P35-DS3L which includes the New AHCI Code so it boots really fast. The DSDT.AML File i've included is for my board which is stock Plus an Evga 8600 GTS 512 PCI Express card. It includes the USB Built in Fix as well as the Reboot to corrupted Bios Fix. Modify as you see fit. I hope this helps you guys. P35-DS3L-10.6-Setup.dmg.zip
  12. I've made a Boot CD based on the EP45-DS3L bootcd posted at the start of the thread It works on my hardware your mileage may vary. GA-P35-DS3L.cdr.zip I take no credit for the contents i just used what was posted here to make it work The upside is that since it uses a patched DSDT.AML file you won't have issues with bios being reset during the installation of Snow Leopard however if you have graphics card other then nvidia i can't guarantee this bootcd will work for you as i built the DSDT.AML with an 8600 gts with 512 Meg ram This is a CDR Master as Osx creates and can be burned using the Disk Utility withen a working os x machine. It will probably work via Nero or other apps but i havn't tried. Good luck
  13. Sorry it's not a boot disk it's just a DMG File Mount it to your desktop and copy the kexts and DSDT.AML file to your /Extra Folder As to modify the DSDT.AML File I suggest recreating the file using the guides listed and using mine as a point of reference to integrate the Fix's Such as the Bios Corruption and the Built-In USB Fix Or you could recreate a file with the proper video card and copy just that section into the DSDT.ISL file and recompile it with the IASLME Utility i've included in the DMG File
