  1. FCP 7 has been flawless for me...
  2. kdawg, thanks for your DSDT file. I kepte editing mine and the EFI scripts with no go. I took yours, made the VRAM changes and the Card name changes and all was well. WHat did you do for an audio fix? I have the EP45-DS3p as well and no audio on the MOB. Not a big deal as I have external Audio interfaces, but it would be nice, when I upgrade to my COre i7 board to pass this mobo along to my wife...

    Dual Graphics Cards Snow Leopard

Having followed Aqafadas's guide for dual graphics cards, I am able to view either card but not both. SO far this is what I have done. 1 - created an EFI Hex script for both cards whether ini the 1st slot or second slot. At this stage I have a hex script for both cards in my com.apple.Boot.plist that works whether there is a card in slot 1 or slot 2. The moment I place both cards in the machine, the screen will go black after the boot screen. Basically the machine is locking up as there are no further console messages aside from the ones you see when verbose logging. Any guidance as to where to look is appreciated. I am running 10.6.2 on a EP45-DS3P Mobo with 2-7600GS Video cards.

    GeForce 7600 & 10.6.2

Care to share??? I am having the same issue. I have 2 7600's I'd like to run, but 1st I'd like to get the primary card working with QE/CI They worked great under 10.5 but Whew 10.6 is a beast. LOL. Thanks.

    EP45-UD3P Retail Method

I did it w/o the stick. Once I work out video, I'll be set. audio is percolating perfectly so she is booting.
  8. Well, she booted for me, but NO video. Lots of good audio though. LOL. I am using Radeon 3870. I used EFI studio and selected 3800 video card inserting hex into com.apple.boot.plist any suggestions. tried searching the thread didn't see any other radeon peeps. Thanks
  9. I have that board with an E5200 Chip. I used iDeneb (10.5.6) and added the realtex R1000 Ethernet Kext (for Bonjour) with no issues. Built in video, of course, is {censored}. I use a 7600GS on that board. Fans run pretty silent.

I went vanilla. Works smooth. Only issue is Shutdown takes a LONG time. Otherwise no problems.

    ALC889A problem - Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3

Thanks Guys. Finally got it working. I used the Gods God Method. The Taruga ALC885889a Patch did the trick. HDEF in EFI Setup and Azalia COdedc on Auto in my Bios... Only complaint... Does the sound go to sleep?? I get a pop when there has been no audio activity for a while.... I remember my G5 would do that from time to time (genrally when I did a restart and played audio for the 1st time) Anyway, Thanks AGain!!!!!

    Abit IP35 ALC888 - No Luck

Search the forum. There is a simple patch you can make with the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext to get sound for your IP35-Pro. I cant remember where in the forum I found it, but all works well for me.

    RELEASE 10.5.5

Tough it out. This update is worth it. Apps launch and execute much faster than they did in 10.5.4 I am loving the zippiness of 10.5.5
  14. Long past due response. I have used Jas 10.5.2 and Leo4all 10.5.2 installs on the IP35 Pro with much success.

    Invisible menus

Solved it. I deleted the GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle, then ran the GeForce.pkg from this thread. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...l=menu&st=0 Now I have QE/CI and visible menus.
