  1. Cloning Your Drive?

Hey guys, I'm on Kalyway 10.5.2 right now. I'm looking to update my way to 10.5.6, but I don't want to risk the system failing in a reboot. Can you either a) tell me how to clone my drive to make a "test" drive--that way i can install stuff without actually losing my files....or even better, tell me a good way to update to 10.5.6 Thanks!
  2. Asus EEE PC

Has anyone figured out how to get wifi working natively?
  3. Asus EEE PC

Its been done..we just need to get the drivers working
  4. Asus EEE PC

The time has come for us to finally figure a way to get OS X running on the Asus EEE PC flawlessly. This is an ideal cheap laptop for osx86 users. So I'm asking the community for help in this. That means everything working flawlessly WITHOUT opening it up and putting new parts in, etc. Good luck
  5. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

You have to install the Time Machine Fix Patch that is included in the DVD.
  6. [LEOPARD] D-Link DWL-G510 Wireless PCI Adapter

    I actually don't know. Anyone?
  7. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

    Glad to be of assistance.
  8. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

Restart your computer, and once you come to the darwin bootloader, press F8. Then type in the name of the kernel you want to load (i.e. modbinkernel), and press enter.
  9. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

To this, I'm not sure. However, I didn't install anything but the Vanilla kernel at first, but I could still load into other kernels.
  10. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

The Vanilla Kernel didn't work for me, which came as a real surprise because I was pretty sure it would. So I hit F8 and tried the other kernels and found one that worked for me. Then I just reinstalled with that kernel and now all is good.
  11. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

Yes, but I don't recommend it. And if you're kernel doesn't work, then press F8 at boot and type in a different kernel to load. But if you have a Dell Dimension 5150 as I do, then I highly recommend selecting the Speedstep Kernel or the Modbin Kernel.
  12. What's in Your Dock?

  13. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

Hmmm...I suggest trying a different Leopard version. I hear JaS has a new version coming out (am i right?) If so, then i recommend trying this as I used to use his versions of Tiger as they were extremely reliable. But look around the forum for a different version, download it, and try it again. Good luck!
  14. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

Okay, there is another way to do it. Hit F8 again at Darwin bootloader. Then type: -x -v "Graphics Mode"="640x480x32" At this resolution, the setup assistant is bypassed. Once you are into the Leopard desktop, go to system prefs to set ur admin password. Then reboot and start working on whatever else you need to do.
  15. Kalyway 10.5.2 FULL GUIDE

No problem. Glad to hear it worked for you. Well, don't use my method if it doesn't apply to you. I've put the bare minimum recommended patches because if you select too many there is a great possibility of your system crashing. So select what you feel is best for your computer. But remember, this whole process is trial and error. So if it doesnt work, just try again. But personally, i don't install any of that until after i have the system working.
