motoxnate got a reaction from Gigamaxx in [RYZEN] macOS Sierra Post Install - Troubleshooting (NVIDIA & Other Drivers, Audio, Hardware compatibility, etc.)
The is the Post-Install topic following the Ryzen Clover Installation Guide for macOS Sierra.
If you have yet to install Sierra on your Ryzen machine, check out that thread for help installing.

Here we can discuss post install troubleshooting such as well known  issues with NVIDIA Drivers, audio interfaces, etc.

Here is one workaround for audio that I am using - My audio was not working and I spent days trying to get it to work (ASUS Prime X370 Pro) to no avail. Eventually I bought this for $10 and it worked immediately with no drivers or setup: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072BMG9TB/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

One question for starters, I am using a Radeon R9 280x with no graphics injection. If I put my Ryzen build to sleep, it changes power states correctly. When Powered back on, the monitors don't turn on. I don't know if this is related to the GPU, or just an issue in general, but in any case I would appreciate any help!

IF you can make one, go for it!   Its a miracle we have one so soon thanks to Bronya.    Even Intel systems in mackintosh need to make adjustments to apps that run perfectly on real Apple devices.   And sometimes real apples need to adjust things to make them work, its a new platform and an even newer beta software.     A lot of real Macintosh users and forums look to us hackintoshers to find solutions for their systems to work in new versions os apps.

@Lingxi Zhang is this thread "solved"?   I thought it was for more than one issue or app to solve?    Did someone hit the "best answer" tab on accident?

So we're trying to remove things out of the software just to make it started? What's the point of this? Should we need a better kernel to make it all work OBB. Well, that's just my thought.

On one of these threads maybe the kernel testing thread there was a link to a video showing how to rebuild the kernels using terminal by finding the error and then loading the app into terminal and commanding a rebuild.    I think they were able to get those apps working with Ryzen.

Hello all, I have been here from he beginning with Gigamaxx and everyone who helped create this wonderful tutorial. I think we are all aware that certain applications, especially Adobe apps, such as Premiere and After Effects have been having issues. For me, Premiere Pro does not even open.
Just curios if anybody has any input on this, or solutions? My main use is video work so those are pretty essential.
Not sure if anybody knows but can we pinpoint this as an issue with the kernel? Is it just me?
Thanks for all your help as always!

Cinebench and Valley Benchmark scores after installing R9 280x. Looks like a good card until Vega:)

Huge thanks to Gigamaxx! Thanks to this guide, we were able to get my ultimate Hackintosh up and running! We also followed several other guide on modding a PowerMac G5 case, then water-cooled the whole thing. Really appreciate the support here! I'm not sure what the etiquette here is for posting video links, but if you'd like to check out the details of my build, the hardware, and overclock details, here is the video:

Try reloading kernel and prelinked kernel then run kext wizzard before booting.

My Ryzen system is my daily driver at home so it definitely is doable. I'm sorry to hear about all your troubles, but if you'd like to try again on another day, I would recommend getting an AMD card that's plug-and-play for testing purposes!

Feel free to PM me if you need any specific help, I'll do my best.

This thread seems a nice idea!
I'm having a couple of issues with my ryzen setup, the most important is the lag with the gpu, a pascal 1070, the driver works, but are extremely slow...
The other issue is that, even if I correctly configure ethernet and serials I can't succesfully gain appstore access to use things such as bought apps or speak with Siri...
About about audio, sadly I'm forced to use vodoo but it sounds goods...

The same issue can and does happen on Intel systems as well, it may be a frame buffer issue or configuration bug. It can be a little tricky matching your output ports, hdmi, DisplayPort, dvdi etc.. with a compatible Framebuffer choice. Sometimes you need to fix an existing Framebuffer to match your cards ports.

Also, using inject ATI vs non injection can play a role, if you inject you get the proper naming of device but it is also assigning a specific Framebuffer as well. Not injecting ATI let's the software assign a Framebuffer which may or may not work 100% and it usually gives you a HD 7xxx or HD 8xxx naming.

Mork vom Ork has done work on. rX card framebuffers and port assignments try search tool to find some of his fixes and notes and it will also probably lead to others with your same issue.

As I have had a few people asking me about updating Clover to Version 4114, which seems to be more optimized... Here's how:

First, backup your current EFI partition - you will need some of the files in it and it's always good to have a backup.
Download Clover 4114 and install it on your Ryzen boot drive. Copy in the "Kexts" folder from your old EFI backup and choose "Replace". Then add your Clover.plist and replace.
Should be all that is needed!
    Via ~Gigamaxx

Question of my own: If I put my PC to sleep while booted to Ryzen, the Power State is changed correctly and the PC sleeps, but when I turn it back on, everything lights up and turns back on except for the monitors. Neither my HDMI nor DVI monitors light up, they just stay black. I think the PC itself is on, but made something to do with display drivers? I'm not entirely sure...

All sounds VERY promising for the future of macOS on Ryzen! I won't be updating anything until I know it's all stable, as my Ryzen build is my daily workstation, but I'm excited to see the future coming together!

Also @Gigamaxx, as we have verified that Clover 4114 is a more stable and optimized version over 4077, I think we should update the guide on page 1 to use 4114 with the method you mentioned instead, replacing only Kexts folder and clover.plist

RAM is Very important for Ryzen.     I have 32gb 2400MHz my scores reflect that, Gils has less ram and lower frequency and has lower scores.    The Quantity and Speed of RAM is a big part of Ryzen performance and it applies equally to Windows configuration as well.   Ryzen makes full use of high speed ram.

ARE you getting this name with the RX 480 with lilukext and Greenkext?

@samaelestevez Here is what I found on GeekBench scores...

    Stock Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4GHz Base Clock Clover 4077

    Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4GHz Base Clock Clover 4114

    Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.6GHz Overclock

It looks like Clover 4114 does help performance a bit. I agree with Gigamaxx as well on the fact that Overclocking seems to reduce individual scores while still increasing multicore scores. I haven't bothered pushing past 3.6GHz because honestly I don't need any more. My 3200MHz RAM is also still operating at 2133MHz because I was crashing constantly at 3200MHz. I may try to up it to 2933MHz and see how stable it is / how it scores on GeekBench.

**UPDATE** @ Gigamaxx I don't know if you tried changing memory clock at all, but after changing my memory clock from 2133MHz to 2933MHz, my scores at 3.6GHz OC jumped 1000 points multicore and 200 points single!

I knew RAM speed affected Ryzen, but this is significant!
    Heres the screenshot:
