  1. No ATI Radeon x1600 Pro users?

After hours and hours of experimenting, I finally got mine working. I have an ASUS PCIe 71c2 and used a combination of dionysossss', Borisbadenov's and shay.bc's method to have resolution changing and QE/CI enabled. Dion's kexts got me resolution changing (with onscreen garbage). Shay.bc's EDID information got rid of the onscreen garbage. It took a lot of trial and error, but tweaking the Boris method finally enabled QE/CI.
  2. Despite what some may think, I too have found this list useful. Thanks 00diabolic!
  3. Ati x1600 driver help!

I recently resolved my graphical and resolution change problems with the X1600 and the solution seems to lie within the ATIinject.kext. Check out this link and try his adjustments to the ATIinject.kext: http://apple2pc.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-t...00-kext-on.html This method may or may not work for you, but it's worth a shot. I tried following his entire installation guide, but I couldn't get CI/QE to work.
  4. Hi all, I've tried dionysossss' method but it doesn't quite work. I have a 512mb PCIe 71c2 from ASUS and after loading these kext files, I can finally switch resolutions, but it's really hard to read with all this patterned garbage on the screen. Does anyone have an idea of what's causing this? Here are some screenshots... the first is what happens on a normal boot. The second is a safe boot.
