    ATI MOBILITY HD 2600 Drivers

I don't know why no one want to do this. If I was better in programming, I would have created the driver !

    ATI Radeon HD MOBILITY 2400 / 2600 / 2900 / 3850 / 3870

Yeah working without -x but only with 1152x864 AND no QE/CI support. So a little bit useless, just more beautiful than the ugly 1024x768.

    ATI Radeon HD MOBILITY 2400 / 2600 / 2900 / 3850 / 3870

Yes the mobility is recognized as a ATI Radeon 2600 HD XT, but I can tell you it's is really a MOBILITY.

Your file ATIRadeonX2000.kext doesn't work, boot with -s parameter then type : boot w/-s /sbin/mount -uw / rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeonX2000.kext rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext reboot Now you can boot...

ATI Mobility HD 2400 XT "94c8"

No that's not true. There are no solutions to get QE/CI in internal monitor. 2 cases. QE/CI with external monitor. (with Natit.kext AND ATIRadeonX2000.kext) No QE/CI with internal monitor. (and no kext OR Natit.kext) Natit.kext allow your card to be recognized, and ATIRadeonX2000.kext enable QE/CI, and changing resolutions.

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600

No solutions today, but you can have 1152x864 while you're waiting... Ok, I know you want to know how =D If you don't have any password for your account, create one (it's not hard I won't explain). You will be able to change or remove it after. Now open Terminal and type : sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist (press enter) It will ask a password for sudo, it's your password account. If you didn't have any password and try to do it, it won't work. Now your com.apple.Boot.plist file is open and you can modify it as you want. You can see a lot of : <key>xxx</key> <string>xxx</string> Copy one of them (with the spaces to respect the alignment) and paste it after the last one replacing : <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1440x900x32</string> Other tip : to speed up Darwin's timeout count-down <key>Timeout</key> <string>25</string> (replace the 25 by the number of seconds you want) Now save your file (it's "Write out" Ctrl + O) It will ask a name, don't worry if you see "$t" only in the name, don't touch and press enter. Restart and you have better resolution now (than 1024x768 ugly) but always no QE/CI and no possibility to change the resolution by the normal way.
  9. MOBILITY HD DOESN'T WORK. Some people are waiting for 8 months for the driver, nothing is done for the moment. I explained how to get 1152x864 in order to allow you to wait here.

ATI Mobility 2600 XT iDeneb (10.5.5)

Yes, mobility is in the topic's title If you read every topics about "Mobility HD", you should know there is no solution now; and the only thing you can do is waiting or helping in this topic. But don't keep to much hope, I wait for 7 months for this driver and nothing...

    ATI Radeon Mobility users wanted

Hello Toshiba P200-1JZ with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 HyperMemory (ID=0x9581 1002) Mine is very special. I never get QE/CI enabled even with external monitor. External monitors results are the same that internal monitor. Safe mode : Internal monitor works with ATIRadeonX2000.kext because it's not loaded, works with Natit.kext, works without Natit.kext and without ATIRadeonX2000.kext. So safe mode, internal monitor always work but with no QE/CI. Normal mode : Internal monitor works without nothing. Works with Natit.kext and video card recognized !! But no QE/CI (see screenshot). But with ATIRadeonX2000.kext, internal or external monitor does not work To summarize, the only time my internal monitor doesn't work is when i put this damn ATIRadeonX2000.kext in normal mode (even if I modify ID, NOTHING TO DO) Screenshot from my internal monitor normal mode without ATIRadeonX2000.kext and without QE/CI : PS : My dump has been done with a fresh install of iDened 10.5.4 in safe mode without having deleted ATIRadeonX2000.kext yet. My driver issues are the same with Zephyroth and Kalyway 10.5.2. dsdt.zip

ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

Oh god !! Nothing to do, even when I come months after, no progress

ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

I forgot to tell that you have to remove EVERY ATI*.kext files in Extensions. Then internal monitor works. If you don't remove these files, your screen is going to stay black. Also, my ID is 0x9581 not 0x9481.

ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

It's strange sume5h... And if you try to type in the Darwin Bootloader : "Graphics Mode"="1152x864x32" ? You can type ?video to have more informations about supported resolutions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AldoWeb. What I did. I download exactly the Natit.kext in the link I gave. Then I copyed it to /System/Library/Extensions/ I activated root account by going in Applications/Utilities/Directory Utility, choosing Enable Root User from the Edit menu and entering the root password I wished to use in both the Password and Verify fields, then clicked OK. After I opened Terminal, and typed : su (press enter and type your root password and repress enter) sudo chmod -R -755 /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext (press enter) sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext (press enter) kextload /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext (press enter) kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions/ (press enter) sudo diskutil repairPermissions / (press enter) I rebooted. And voila. Internal monitor is working in normal and safe boot. You can try -legacy at the Darwin bootloader if after my manipulation it doesn't work for you. I'm going to test sumeh5's Kalyway now !! (I'm under Zephyroth AMD version on an Intel Laptop ^^)

ATI Radeon 3650HD on 3 or 4 LCDs

You cannot do it with ATI for the moment, only NVIDIA.
