    [pre-release] macOS Mojave

Thanks, booted fine! Dark mode looks nice, although after watching the keynote and seeing apple blare about a dark ui in 2018 as a key feature is a bit concerning. Where the {censored} is the new Mac Pro? ;>

    apfs.efi from 10.13 Final

Be aware that on 05.10.2017 Apple updates silently apfs.efi to 748.1.47
  5. Synapsis

    apfs.efi latest 05.10.2017

    Version 748.1.47

EFI drivers for Clover to boot APFS partitions. The drivers apfs.efi are from official Installers (can be located through Show Package Contents) 621. High Sierra Public Beta (don't remember which version though) 748.1.46 High Sierra release (26 Sept 2017) 748.1.47 High Sierra security update (Oct 05 2017) Files are originally named apfs.efi, I put the version number before .efi for convince.

fstab does not prevent auto mounting

First, diskarbitration takes cares of mounting through Launched, so unload it - editing /private/etc/fstab won't do: diskarbitrationd listens for connections from clients, notifies clients of the appearance of disks and filesystems, and governs the mounting of filesystems and the claiming of disks amongst clients. diskarbitrationd is accessed via the Disk Arbitration framework. This command is not intended to be invoked directly. Options: -d Report detailed information in /var/log/diskarbitrationd.log. The file /etc/fstab is consulted for user-defined mount points, indexed by filesystem, in the mount point determination for a filesystem. Each filesystem can be identified by its UUID or by its label, using the constructs ``UUID'' or ``LABEL'', respectively. For example: UUID=DF000C7E-AE0C-3B15-B730-DFD2EF15CB91 /export ufs ro UUID=FAB060E9-79F7-33FF-BE85-E1D3ABD3EDEA none hfs rw,noauto LABEL=The\040Volume\040Name\040Is\040This none msdos ro FILES /etc/fstab /var/log/diskarbitrationd.log /var/run/diskarbitrationd.pid /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.diskarbitrationd.plist` man has from time to time some useful info instead of normal Apple 3 liners man diskarbitrationd if you run it with sudo and -d flag, despite the fact the man says you shouldn't hehe, it will tell you if something is wrong within the fstab or not (like it f**n couldn't do so in the log file...) like this: fstab: /etc/fstab:3: Inappropriate file type or format fstab: /etc/fstab:4: Inappropriate file type or format fstab: /etc/fstab:5: Inappropriate file type or format fstab: /etc/fstab:6: Inappropriate file type or format cat /private/etc/fstab | pbcopy UUID=6B455C69-D1C9-4BC6-8B10-C4E9C64A2A03 none msdos rw,noauto UUID=78A5ABE5-0AD8-E746-9192-9532E45526A9 none ntfs rw,noauto UUID=30723348-9108-0544-B2BA-D4903B48769D none ntfs rw,noauto o UUID=D14906F2-4F56-41CC-896B-F53D3378508D none msdos rw,noauto m UUID=4452BC2B-0B9B-32C3-A62B-F5C7FFAC74CC none none rw,noauto f UUID=D14906F2-4F56-41CC-896B-F53D3378508D none none rw,noauto g UUID=5FBD02D3-3743-3A3F-BF53-100A8785FAB2 none none rw,noauto UUID=42A3C6F0-A9D2-4B7A-9524-9BECD92D6885 none none rw,noauto UUID=EA2E36CE-1418-4DFF-9F6C-5B52383E1650 none none rw,noauto UUID=89CD05CD-4467-4FD3-BAB6-27EBCACCC217 none none rw,noauto UUID=FAF231A4-3DD1-32F4-85F5-510B90E11175 none none rw,noauto UUID=6B455C69-D1C9-4BC6-8B10-C4E9C64A2A03 none none rw,noauto as you can see it does complain about omfg from line 3 to 6, you can also drop the mount point, fs bundle and use none, none , diskutility will sniff the fs type anyways and mount it for ya later to unload / load: sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.diskarbitrationd.plist or use LaunchControl.app since editing those can be annoying and LaunchControl.app gives you hell a lot more control over what your os is doing if the above is TL;DR go here and profit: https://github.com/aburgh/Disk-Arbitrator

    Announcing WWDC 2017

ii {censored} hate sierra- it's soo freaking unstable and broken that it feels like a experimental rolling release. Apple's macOS to do list for 2017: dump system log & syslog, so we can put new marketing headlines like "unified logging API". Who {censored}in cares about the 90% of macOS subsystem BSD/*NIX? Those subsystems simply have to learn our new logging api out of the box, right? No? {censored} it, deprecate deprecate deprecate! dump random subsystem and reinvent it with new cool API marketing name add more deprecation warnings into random clang version! we want our {censored}tarded toolchain instead of one that works! forget about our own subsystem (which we deprecated ourselves partially) and deprecate even more! lets pretend that Darwin merges with BSD magically on it's own lets put some new API into it that nobody hears about since even our own people don't have the docs (probably deprecated themself) lets add another security feat, how about read-only / mount? I hope apple will sometime look into it's source base since Darwin sources starts to look like a swiss cheese..
  8. Wanna see a nice bug by NVIDIA? Try to open any iBooks title in 10.12.x Anything you try to read looks like that, can't read in iBooks anymore :-(
  9. Got the same Issue, My setup: MBP Pro (late 2012), an iMac 27 (early 2014) Apple TV (late 2012) Time capsule 2tb (early 2014) Hackintosh (Asus p67 Sabertooth, 2011) after upgrading all of them to Yosemite – the host name seems to change randomly on each of them adding (number) after the name, so from time to time I see a couple of computer in the shared list, and I see the localhost (the computer is sit on) in the same list and connect to it as if it were a remote machine (?!?) the issue never existed on mavericks - therefore must be a Yosemite issue. Anyone got any more findings on this? This is quite annoying, I don't use any kind of NAS aside of time machine automated backups. update 1: found a tip on another forum to cycle (load/unload) mDNSResponder to solve this: sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemon/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist gotta give it a try, I think this has something to do with the waking up from sleep on yosemite.
  10. Hi Im sitting since installing 10.7.3 since 2 days and the more I read the more confused I am As far as I know my hardware is good and ready for DSDT and run (almost) Vanilla with few tweaks here and there. I installed 10.7.3 through ###### (made a boot USB from Apple Store files) After installation however Graphics do not work (but this is another problem) My Questions are: What KERNEL FLAGS to use after the installation for P67 Sabertooth? The best method to create a working DSDT.aml file for P67 Sabertooth? What BIOS SETTINGS to use for a working DSDT.aml file? Which SETTINGS do I have to enable to have a working AppleCPU Power management in Chameleon? GenerateC1States? Yes / No? How can I be sure that DSDT.aml the auto patcher extracted and patched is ok for my BIOS version & settings? How can I correct my DSDT.aml (i know how to edit it but thats it) What are you working settings in BIOS for P67 Sabertooth? How does your DSDT.aml works for P67 Sabertooth? Any help will be appriecieted.
  11. MacDrive 7 is now compatible with x64 Vista. Try it, buy it or upgrade today. Finally i can use Macdrive inside Vista x64, the best part about Vista i can use anyway. 12. Hello, I got a strange problem, somehow my windows xp screwed my partition table on an HFS drive, changing the Partition type from HFS+ to NTFS (wtf?) i can't auto-mount those partition in OS X anymore, and i got an annyoing popup about reinitializing an disk with os x everytime i boot. I can mount those Volumes back manually by specifying the filesystem as hfs (mount -t hfs /dev/blablabla /Volumes/blablabla) however i have to do it manually, which simply pisses me off. Changing the partition type would'nt screw the filesystem itself, would it? I never had an issue like this before, and i like the data on those two partitions, so i wouldnt mind keeping them there. My simplest guess is to reedit the partition table at change the partition type to HFS (Hex: AF) but im not sure if this wouldnt {censored} the Partition Table and render my Data bye bye. Can anyone tell me how to do it right, and how to prevent this from happening again, my Guess is that MacDrive in combination with XP storage managment {censored}ed the table on some stage, accessing my HFS partitions through MacDrive is a nice feature, but i would like to keep my data intact [woo, i like the auto censorship features, makes my posts lookin more spicy ] thanks for your advice
  13. Hello, I would like to have the same middle mouse button beheviour im used to: paste main selection, this works fine for X11 and terminal, xterm, but not inside the os x, have to use apple + c and apple + v Anyone knows how to set the unix like behavior?
  14. Hi,I just installed Leo4All v2, without any patches just plain OS, and my GFX seems to be working out of the box,the only problem i had, that the Monitors are switched, meaning: Display 1 is mapped to settings of display 2 and display 2 is mapped to settings of display one, thats an issue cause i got a 22" and a 19" Can someone confirm this issue? MySpecs: Gigabyte P35-DS3 / Core 2 Duo 6300 / 8GB Ram / Sata @ EHCI - Nativ working / Realtek LAN - working / DVDRW - working / USB Ports - all Working / Leo4All v2, default installation Toh Kernel 9.2.0 Here are some screenshots of my settings, has anyone got the same issues? I got another 22" buts this setup is quite hmm.. to wide for me it seems that a lot of ppl can have this issue but don't know it, since the primary screen goes out of range, and the second is grey (as u cant see anything on the second screen after installation, and the keyboard detection screen has a grey background!)I heard that a lot of ppl see a gray screen after installation, so maybe thats the problem, that the screens output gets swapped somehow. Just a thought, could be wrong about it as well, but it seems logic to me. since i first seen a gray screen as well with only one screen attached.u can clearly see on that screenshot, that the screens are swapped, the L226 is actually my primary screen (22") and the T920 is the secondary screen (19")When I hotswap the screens, the system swaps those again o.O Here is the ALKOR output i got: Alkor: Starting.choosed model ATI Radeon 2900 Series Alkor: Setting @0,compatible=ATY,Triakis Alkor: Setting @1,name=ATY,Triakis Alkor: Setting @0,display-connect-flags=0x00000400 Alkor: Setting ATY,Rom#=113-B2250F-207 Alkor: Setting @0,name=ATY,Triakis Alkor: Setting @1,EDID=<data not shown> Alkor: Setting @1,compatible=ATY,Triakis Alkor: Setting ATY,memsize=0x10000000 Alkor: Setting @1,device_type=display Alkor: Setting model=ATI,RadeonHD2900 Alkor: Setting @0,device_type=display Alkor: Setting @0,EDID=<data not shown> Alkor: Setting @1,display-connect-flags=0x00000400Alkor: Setting ATY,EFIVersion=01.00.207 Alkor: Setting ATY,EFIVersionBios=113-B22501-X22B Alkor: Setting ATY_EFIEnabledMode=0x00000002Alkor: Setting device_type=ATY,TriakisParent Alkor: Setting VRAM,totalsize=0x10000000Alkor: Setting AAPL,aux-power-connected=0x00000001 Alkor: Setting name=ATY,TriakisParent** Device in slot: SLOT--1 ** dsmos: Initializing...dsmos: Hook and decryption contexts set! dsmos: Starting... 15. I cant access my win partitions, or even start win, got only the burned Leo4All disc, and downloaded the ppf patch, how can i create an .iso that i can patch under os x? Diskutility is making an .dmg and there are 4 settings (compresesd, read/write, read ...) which one is the right? Can i do the .iso from the burned disc else? Can i actually patch the iso created from the already burned disc? I would like to search this in forum, but the search function is screwed and simply dont work..
