  1. Nvidia SLI?

Hey Aqua-mac, I tried to PM you but it seems your mailbox is full. I noticed you mentioned you knew a way to cause Mac OS to recognize both cards as two separate cards? I have two 8800GTS 640MB set up in SLI and would love to be able to switch back and forth between Mac OS and Windows without having to swap out the second card. I currently only have one of the cards in using NVinject. Can you provide me any direction or point me to another thread for how I can get this figured out? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
  2. Hi guys, I've been poking around on the forums and on the HCL's a bit and haven't been able to come up with an ideal solution yet... so I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation... I'm looking for a mATX mobo that will work as flawlessly as possible out of the box... sure, I know many 945's and 975's can do that no problem. I'm not as familiar with the G35's. What's the catch? I really don't want to settle for analog outputs for my surround. Ideally I'd like to have coax digital output on the thing. So I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a particular mATX mobo with coaxial that will work as easily as possible out of the box. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks much!
  3. Well, I gave up on that netgear card long ago. I've instead picked up a Linksys USB200M. It's a USB-to-ethernet dongle, and worked out of the box, plug and play, with OS X. Never had one drop, IP issue, or anything since. I'm very happy with it. I'd recommend this product to anyone experiencing similar issues on an nforce chipset, as it's a far more affordable and far less painful option than going to the extreme of purchasing a new motherboard.
  4. Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my Realtek 8139 chipset card (Netgear GA311). Ethernet works totally fine until I try to copy a large amount of data... this has happened with regular downloads, torrents, and even copies over my local network! The network control panel then shows I have a self-assigned IP, and the only way to get my network connectivity back is by restarting my computer. Here are the things I have tried: - All different modes (duplex, MTU, etc.) under Advanced - Manual IP settings - Latest OS X driver from Realtek's site. All with the same result! I also tried booting with cpus=1 as suggested by another thread on this forum and it did fix the issue... but using only 1 core is simply not acceptable. =/ I was wondering if anyone else has been able to figure out this issue? I'm nearly pulling out my hair in frustration! Thanks in advance.
  5. Removing the SLI bridge didn't help, but removing the second card did! Works perfectly! The annoying part is that in order to be able to boot now, I'll have to pull out the second geforce to be able to boot at all. =/ Do you know of any way I can disable the second PCI-E bus to be able to boot without pulling out the card? I don't see any obvious option for that in my BIOS. I really don't want to give up SLI for when I go to play games in Windows.
  6. NForce SATA Controller

Turns out it was my 2nd 8800GTS in SLI that was causing it... pulled the second card out and it was just fine. Weird. :S
  7. NForce SATA Controller

Yep. That's where it hangs. I even left it overnight just to be sure... no dice. =/
  8. NForce SATA Controller

Hi there, I'm having a bit of trouble with my new installation. I used iAtkos R3, and managed to get everything installed okay. However, when I go to boot I get the error "AppleNForceATA: found 0 units". I tried replacing and setting permissions on the installed NForceATA with the latest version in this thread, but I still get the same error. I also still get the error in both -v and -v -x boot modes. Can anyone help? Here's a screenshot and you can find my hardware configuration in my sig. Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi again. I tried using -v -x to boot like you suggested, but unfortunately I get the exact same error message as I did booting with -v. =/ Here's a screen as you requested... any thoughts? Thanks again for your help!
  10. Hi Mysticus and everyone, thanks for your help. I've managed to get iAtkos v1.0i r3 installed following the instructions here EXACTLY. The problem is, when I boot (with -v) I get the following message: "localhost kextd[10]: IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols" and then the next line reads "AppleNForceATA: found 0 units." When I boot without -v I get the grey Apple screen and then it prompts me to reboot. My installation is on a 1TB SATA, partitioned using MBR. Is there something wrong with the nForce driver maybe? Where should I go from here to resolve this? My system specs are in my signature. Thanks again!
