  1. NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 - ANY UPDATES?

Jois21, What did you install with? I used the method in my previous post, I have the exact same machine, Compaq 8510w and it works like a charm. With my FX570M I used the NVinstaller .52 and it all worked perfectly. I also installed as a retail install. Let me know and I'll see if I can help you.
  2. NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 - ANY UPDATES?

Good news, it's funny to see this post as I just went through this, this past weekend. I have the fx570 setup and running on my new notebook HP/Compaq 8510w. It uses the quadro fx 570 with the attached drivers running full res 1900x1200 I think it's at with QE/CI and QuartzGL all fully functional. I did install via the Apple Retail Leopard 10.5.4 disk with the PC-EFIv8. Please see this post for the cd's required to install: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...88&hl=EFIv8 Hope this helps and let me know. This system will not let me upload the file as it's to big but here is where I downloaded it: http://scottdangel.com/blog/?page_id=20 Use the NVinstaller v.52 that's what worked for me. I am still working on the ethernet.
  3. I am glad to hear that my posts might be helping some, I am sure the native res on the nw8440 is like you suggested at 1900x1200, but the 1680x1050 does look beautiful. I have no complaints everything looks very nice and high def. If you need to find your EDID, you can get it (especially if you have vista) you can download softddc or something like that, when I find the download I will see if they will let me post it. Let me know if I can help any of you with nc8430 or nw8440. I also installed JAS 10.5.4 and then updated to 10.5.5 and let me tell you the time machine is awesome really looks cool. Take care!
  4. I have an NC8430 and NW8440 and have them fully functional with the exception of only can use one core and looking into this and the wireless card 3945abg card under Leopard 10.5.5. Please see the attached drivers, I used the JAS 10.5.4 install with no options selected except the bear minimum which the dvd already did for me. Did a clean erase of my OSX partition, when install was finished it did not detect the trackpad or keyboard so be prepared to have a USB Keyboard and Mouse. Finish the install and then start installing these drivers, they worked for me and at the moment the EDID has already been put in for the NW8440. But the EDID is in a text file fro the NC8430. This also contains audio drivers, the PS2 keyboard/mouse fix, PC Card, and of course video drivers. Hope this can help some of you out. This has been a long time of searching and learning to compile these. Enjoy and the screen is full res at 1600x1050, with full DVD support. I want to thank all of the folks that produced these drivers (sorry I do not remember all the folks on the list). But enjoy OSX to the fullest. Archive.zip Video.zip
  5. iATKOS not booting up

I had the same issues, there are a couple of things you can try, first would be to do on of the following: 1) Disable in your system bios Dou Core or something to that nature to disable (forces your computer to use only one of the cores) 2) Other option would be when the DVD starts press F8 do a -v cpus=1 (does the same thing as disabling one of the cores in the bios but you will have to remember to do this everytime you boot.) I hope this helps
