Try booting with --pm-version=21 as a parameter.
  2. Hello everybody, i have a very strange issue with sleep on my HP 6510b. When I click on sleep (hibernatemode = 3) it writes a sleepimage to disk, and then screen goes black and fans go off. After a few seconds it seems to rewake from sleep, fans go to full power, but the display stays off. The only solution is to force restart the computer by pressing the power button for 5 seconds. After the reboot, it loads the sleepimage from disk, and suddenly I can also go to sleep (soft-sleep). I would be very happy if someone can help me to solve, or at least explain this issue. Thanks, murphy2
  3. HP 6510b - sleep fix

Hello everybody, i managed it to run Mac OS 10.6.6 on my HP 6510b. The DSDT i used:http://www.kexts.com/view/304-hp_6510b_full_fix_dsdt.html For Backlight brightness: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=135410 For Keyboard and Trackpad: VoodooPS2.kext What works: - native speedstepping. - lan - Display Brightness - Audio The only thing i have not managed to run jet, is sleep. When i click on "sleep", screen gets dark and after a short time everything goes of but the fan and the power led are still lightning (should be blinking). I would be really happy if someone can help me to find a solution, or at least an explanation of the problem. Thanks, murphy2
  4. Introduce yourself

    Hi everybody
  5. HP 6510b Snow Leo Pack

Hi, I managed it to control the backlight of the HP 6510b, at least a bit. Nevertheless, there are still a few issues: -The left part of the screen is much darker. -There are only 3 steps to dim the screen. The DSDT I used is attached. Maybe there is someone out there who is able to edit the DSDT to solve the problems, and to make backlight control working correctly. Thank you for your help, murphy2 Bightness_Control.zip
