    Optiplex 990 Mojave-compatible ?

Hi, I know thanks, it has been answered multiple times already, I'm typing this from my Optiplex 7010 MT running High Sierra 10.13.6.

    Introduce yourself.

    Welcome everyone

    Optiplex 990 Mojave-compatible ?

Nah it's not supported, you can get a GT710 for 30 bucks and it's supported under Mojave

    Optiplex 990 Mojave-compatible ?

I have brought a Optiplex 7010 MT, but that's basically the same (well the chipset in the 990 is the Q67, while in the 7010 it's the Q77)) So yeah Mojave is compatible as long as you have a Metal supported graphics card With my GT730 I was able to run Mojave with everything working (sound, LAN, USB 3.0, sleep/wake) Tho now I have brought a GTX 1060, I'm running High Sierra until Nvidia release the web driver for Mojave If interested, I can post my Clover folder with everything (DSDT, config.plist, kext, driverUEFI64, Lilu+WhateverGreen) if anyone need it

Updated: new i5-based hackintosh, new screens, still waiting for my Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite L RGB Keyboard and mouse to arrives, so I'm still using the basic Apple Aluminium keyboard alongside a random Dell USB mouse.

    CPU fan not spinning

The fan doesn't need to spin if the temperatures are okay (and they look really good to me) But if your computer effectively overheat, you might wanna take a look inside to see if there isn't anything blocking the fan from spinning.

    Blinking Screen Issue (10.13/10.14/GT730)

The GFX0 is already renamed to IGP in clover, and why they should be there if there's macOS specific folder ? (since it effectively load the kext) Tho, I'll try edit the DSDT, because honestly, I have no {censored} clue on how to do that, I just found a DSDT for the Optiplex 7010 MT online and I used it. If you have a tutorial on how to edit DSDT that'll be helpful
  10. Hi ! I already posted this message in the French section, but I didn't got any replies so I'm trying here So I have an issue with my hackintosh (that makes it unusable, really)It's that the screen will go black for like 1/2 seconds every 5 minutes or so (depends, sometimes it can go as far as 5 per minutes)I found a video showing the issue (not mine, but that's exactly the same thing that's happening to me) SPECS:DELL Optiplex 7010 Mini TowerIntel Q77 ChipsetIntel Core i5 3570@3.4GHzGigabyte GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 REV 2.012GB DDR3 1600MHzmacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Clover v2.4k r4722 (UEFI mode) Latest A29 07/2018 BIOSSomeone pointed out it could be a power issue, but I really don't think it's that, even tho the power supply recommandation for the GT 730 is 300W, and the Optiplex PSU is 275W, the power supply recommandation is really often overkill (275W = 77W i5+25W GT 730+2 SSD and 1 HDD, doesn't make 275W)And if It was, I would have the same issue on Windows when gaming, fair enough ? I don't ! I can play GPU intensive games (relatively speaking, we're talking about a GT 730 lmao) for HOURS with no problem, my PC is almost running 24/7, and no issue what-so-ever on Windows.I tried both with Mojave and High Sierra, but no matter what, it does the same thing, and also, I think it's important to say that I had the EXACT same issue on my Dell Optiplex 780 (Core 2 Duo), so I believe that's a driver issueI tried with both OS X driver and NVIDIA Web Driver, it does the same thing, but with the webdriver, I don't have working HDMI audio (oddly enough)I'm using the latest version of Lilu+WhatEver Green, here's my CLOVER folder: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z9Sgj1g6UdNrcBzgZgrGZKsPaXr5LJ5g Let me know if you need anything (like a RunMe.app result, for example)Okay, so I think that's itThanks a lot to everyone who will take the time to help me with that

    Shift from i5-6500 to lga775

It depends what OS Version you're running at If it's High Sierra or lower, you'll be fine using your actual installation, just add the needed kext inside the Clover/Kexts/10.XX folder, you'll also need to change the SMBIOS for iMac10,1, use correct configuration and bootflags inside the Clover config.plist file, also you'll probably need to reinstall Clover for Legacy BIOS (if you ain't already using it, wich I highly doubt since you are using Skylake) And, try to get a DSDT for your hardware (you can find those, patch yourself or ask someone to patch it for you (there's a tread on Olarila as well as OSXLatitude for that, I don't know if there's one on InsanelyMac tho) but if you're using Mojave, you better of just do a clean High Sierra install, because Mojave won't work natively on Core 2 systems, and also because your GTX 550 Ti isn't supported. To be honest, I think it will just be easier to do a clean install of High Sierra and copy back all your file if you don't have THAT MUCH stuff, and some app will work by just copying them into the Applications folder, but some will need to be reinstalled. Hope that'll help you, good luck
  12. Salut !

Updated setup (will soon upgrade my Hackintosh to a Xeon 6-core based system tho) What changed ? The addition of two home made horn subwoofer (Well "home made", I used Bass Reflex speaker cabinet since we made new mid/tops for our sound system, and I turned them into horn subwoofer with some wood both inside and outside) Plus a American Audio VMS2 I'm using with the HP Pavilion you can see on the right The window reflection on the screen is way more worse in the picture than it is in reality

    Optiplex 990 Mojave-compatible ?

Awesome ! If you have any DSDT or kexts that you use, I'll happily take them if I can't buy the Thinkstation (since the listing say "Selling in lot: 180 units", but anyway I asked if it was possible to buy one unit, waiting for the reply) EDIT: Well... It looks like I found THE ultimate PC, at least for the price it cost: 160 euros: Dell Precision T3500 : Intel Xeon W3680 6 core 12 threads - 12GB RAM DDR3 - Quadro 3800 (yeah I know the GPU isn't supported on macOS tho, I still plan to use my 730, maybe I'll keep the Quadro inside the system, so I have more GPU power available when running Windows 10 or Ubuntu)
