  1. Hello all, I never had good luck posting here but I'm hoping someone will take the time to help me. Yesterday I attempted to install Leo4allv3. The install cd wouldn't boot in normal startup mode or using -v or -x. Eventually I got it to boot using CPUS=1 -V. Leo4all booted, I created the partition then let it install with the default settings. After reboot my new Leo4all install hangs at: ioapic: version 0x20 vectors 64:87 So, I tried booting using -v and -x without any success. I then tried using CPUS=1 -V and this time it booted further but hung up and just repeatedly said: still waiting for root device I then attempted to reinstalling using the vanilla kernal and some of the other drivers included with Leo4all but got the same exact results. Does anyone know how I can get Leo4all working? Here is my specs: Acer Travelmate 4674 WLMI Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2500 (2MB L2 cache, 2.0GHz, 667MHz FSB) 2048MB Memory (2GB (1/1) DDR2 533 SDRAM) Serial ATA HDD 120 GB (5400RPM) modular Super-Multi drive (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM) Acer GridVista™ (128MB, 15.4" screen, 1280*800) ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X1400 with 512 MB of HyperMemory™ V.92 modem LAN (Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5705_2 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 03)) WLAN (Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG) four USB 2.0 IEEE 1394 FIR S-video external display (VGA) port 5-in-1 card (MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO or xD-Picture Card)

    Biostar MCP6P-M2 motherboard

I bought the same barebones kit for $149. It was an awesome deal. I was able to install Kalyway 10.5.2 on it first try. Its my only successful attempt ever at getting OSX to boot on any computer. The downside is my network card and sound were not dectected. Could be an easy fix, who knows, I'm not very familiar with OSX. So yes you can get OSX on that system but you'll have to figure out how to get the sound and network card working. If anyone can help me with that, please tell me.
  3. Hello, I've been trying to install and run Kalyway 10.5.2 for months now without success. Installation goes fine but when I try to log in, it just hangs at the gray boot screen. I typed -v to see where it was hanging up. Here is where it freezes: mac framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87 Does anyone know why its freezing here and how to fix it? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Here's my specs if that helps: Acer TravelMate 4674WLMi - Core Duo T2500 / 2 GHz - Centrino Duo 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 120 GB SATA HDD DVD-RW (+R DL) / DVD-RAM - Mobility Radeon X1600 128MB, 512MB/shared - Gigabit Ethernet - WLAN : 802.11a/b/g 56k Modem 5 in 1 Card Reader 15.4" Widescreen TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA )
  4. Anybody?????????????????????????????? Someone must be able to help me.
  5. Since posting this 4 days ago and not getting 1 response I tried reinstalling Kalyway without the video drivers selected. Installation went smoothly but its still freezing in the same spot.
  6. I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 a little while ago but can't get past the gray boot screen. It just sits there. I have searched the forums for days now and haven't found a solution that doesn't suggest re-installing osx without selecting there video drivers. I would really like to find a solution that doesn't involve re-installing because installing it once was pain and who knows if a re-install will fix it. I am using tboot as my boot loader because I am running xp and osx, not sure if that would have anything to do with it. So does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? As always, any help will be greatly appreciated. Missing operating system after kalyway 10.5.2

Ok, I've mananged to get into windows but can't use easyBCD because its for Vista only. I used tboot instead and am now have the option to boot XP or OSX. When I go into OSX it comes to a gray screen with the apple logo in the middle and just hangs there. Anyone know how to fix this?
  8. Hello, I just attempted to dual boot XP and Kalyway 10.5.2 today and everything seemed to install smoothlly until it was time to reboot. The computer rebooted and "Missing Operating System" appeared. I attempted to us gparted and set my windows partition to "boot" but that didn't work so I tried setting my OS X partition to boot and still no luck. So now I can't boot windows or OS X. Does anyone know how to fix this. I have searched the internet all day and haven't found any answers. Its very frustrating and I'm about to give up on ever getting OS X to run. Any help would bee greatly appreciated.
  9. Hello, I'm really interested in trying to get OSX running on my laptop. I am curious if any one has tried on this perticular model? Does anyone know if it is possible and what problems may I run into? I'd also like to dual boot it with xp if possible. Currently i'm running xp pro and Linux Mint(running from a portable 120gb hd). Would it be possible to install OSX onto a portable hard drive like my linux install and run it from there, that way I don't screw up the factory set partions on my laptop hd? I'm completely new to Mac's and OSX but I really want to experiment with it. Well, any input would be greatly appreciated. I've tried searching the forums on here but the search on this site isn't working, getting some syntrax error or something like that. Anyways heres my specs, thanks in advance: Acer TravelMate 4674WLMi - Core Duo T2500 / 2 GHz - Centrino Duo 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 120 GB SATA HDD DVD-RW (+R DL) / DVD-RAM - Mobility Radeon X1600 128MB, 512MB/shared - Gigabit Ethernet - WLAN : 802.11a/b/g 56k Modem 5 in 1 Card Reader 15.4" Widescreen TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA )
