  1. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Anybody test this with Garageband yet? Looking for something to replace my Mini 9; am having trouble editing multiple tracks at once. Thanks.
  2. Snow Leopard on eMachines e725-4520

Please keep us updated if you get anywhere with this; have been thinking about getting this laptop. But as I understand it QE and CI won't work with the 4500M, correct?
  3. Multiple distros on GA-MA74GM-S2: HELP!

    Another bump; this is discouraging!

    Bumping this...
  5. Hi, I am trying to get OSX86 running on my GA-MA74GM-S2 PC. Specs: CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core black edition Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 RAM - Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit GPU - Sapphire GeForce 9800GT Problem is, with iPC and iDeneb, I get this error: I get the "no smoking" sign without booting with -v. Kalyway just flat out reboots my computer for some reason, after loading Extensions.mkext (or so it says). Even booting with the -x and -F switches doesn't help (just reboots the computer right after loading all the kexts). I'm ruling out bad burns as I've tried with multiple DVD drives and DVD-R brands on both accounts. And the MD5 hashes match as well. Really discouraging as someone in that thread above has had luck with an identical motherboard. Help!
  6. Hi, I'm trying to get OSX running on my desktop, and it seems to boot more or less, but I keep on getting a mode not supported error on my monitor, which can't handle the 1440x900 resolution OSX tries to boot into on its first boot. Not even using "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32@60" or something similar would work; it just keeps on forcing to boot to that resolution. One more thing, I had to install to my SATA HDD (in AHCI mode... which Vista refuses to boot into), because I couldn't get my IDE HDD to appear for installation. Here's a link to my mobo: www.gigabyte.us/Products/Motherboard/Pro...uctName=GA-MA74GM-S2 The chipset is: 1. North Bridge: AMD 740G 2. South Bridge: AMD SB700 And I'm using the latest iPC. Thank you!
  7. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Will this work on an ATI 4830?
  8. Successful on Compaq F500

Interesting. I'll try and do the same to hopefully get OSX86 running on my Presario V6000. Thanks.
  9. HP dv6000 & dv9000 series

Presario V6000 user here. I believe the V6000 series are practically the same as the DV6000 series. Anyway, tried getting both jAs 10.4.8 and Leo4All working, no dice. jAs wouldn't read my SATA hard drive (are there any pre-patched Tiger images with the nforce4 drivers integrated already? I'm having tons of trouble recompiling Extensions.mkext on the other Mac we have), and Leo4All gives me either the HFS+ Partition Error or the blank Command Line prompt. Fiddling with VMWare to do the Bootfix was unfruitful, as I got Block Error while doing this. Running on the following specs: AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-50, 1.6 GHz, 256KB+256KB L2 Cache 15.4" WXGA High-Definition* BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800) Display 80GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA) 1024MB DDR2 System Memory Integrated 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) with up to 128MB (shared) Can anyone point a newbie to the right direction?
