  1. Here it is. Also, Im sure its not a volume issue. As you can see in the attached screenshot nothing shows up under Output or Input devices in Sound. Let me know if anything sticks out or if you need any more info. 2. Is there anything beyond installing the VMware tools that needs to be done? The only thing i can think of that could be an issue is when I first installed the OS I didnt have a Sound Card added to my VM. I added the sound card after it was installed. But I did install the VMware tools after.
  3. Gah. Scratch that. Im pulling my hair out with this... it just happens randomly it seems.
  4. This seems to be only occur when Autofit Guest is selected or if I choose to "Fit Guest Now". So long as I leave Autosize set to Center Guest, this problem doesnt seem to occur.
  5. Hi all- After a bit of reading of some of the great work thats been done here, I was able to get Mac OS 10.6 working with VMware Workstation 8 pretty effortlessly! I did have a few questions/iisues though that I wasnt able to track down. Any tricks to get sound working? I added the sound card device in the VMware settings, reinstalled the VMware tools after doing so and made sure sound.virtaulDev = "hdaudio" in my vmx as I saw in a couple posts. I also installed the Ensoniq driver from this post but still nothing. Besides the VMware tools included with the darwin.iso, are there any other drivers that should be loaded? I noticed in some of the older threads they had separate downloads for sound and video, but wasn't sure if these were now just bundled with the VMware tools. Should the "Acclerate 3D graphics" option be used? Things seem to be working okay without it enabled, but wasnt sure if there was any benefit to doing so. I noticed a new option under the Processors device in VMware settings "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI". Should this be enabled? Does "Fit Guest Now" work for anyone? If so, anything in particular you did to get it working? Thanks so much! So psyched to have this working!
  6. Do you have sound working? If so, was there anything specific you had to do to get it working? Im running Mac 10.6 on VMware 8.0.1 and Windows 7 x64 and the Mac VM says theres no sound device connected.
  7. I was able to get Mac OS X 10.6 running in VMware Workstation 8.0.1 on Win 7 x64 working without much issue with one main exception. Whenever I log out and presented with the Login screen the graphics seem to glitch out. See the attached for what happens. If I change view modes (e.g. between full screen and console mode), I can see the Login screen and even interact with it, but only for about 1-2 seconds. Once I log in everything seems to work as it should. I need to have access to the login screen to log in with different accounts, so Im hoping someone has an idea on how to resolve this. If there's any more info I can provide, please let me know. Thanks!!
  8. So Im just getting ready to attempt to build my first "hackintosh" on my E1505. I noticed devilhoods thread mentions to use your tool. Is there any documentation for it? For example, which download to I need? I see at least three in the original post. I scanned through this thread, but didnt see anything that explains it. Apologies if Im just missing something obvious! Thanks a bunch!
