  1. [GUIDE] Leopard on ASRock P43Twins1600

Thanks so much for this easy guide. Got my system up and running today, 10.5.6 with bios version 2.0 I used the Voodoo 9.5 kernel and I've been getting kernel panics. Right now I'm reinstalling OSX with the 9.2.2 kernel to see if that addresses my issues. What kernel did those of you that have it up and running smoothly use? edit: I discovered I was getting kernel panic every time I tried to download and mount the safari 4 installer. I'm going to not do that and see if I get it otherwise. edit2: Now i realize, after trying 3 of the 4 available kernels on iDeneb 10.5.6 that I get kernel panic every time I try to mount a .dmg file. Ugh... any suggestions? edit3: Hopefully final edit, I fixed the fail to mount .dmg problem by installing the seatbelt.kext from 10.5.5. I think I'm up and running for good now.

Original MacNut said he/she did above with no problems.
  3. [GUIDE] Leopard on ASRock P43Twins1600

Are you saying you didn't need to use Originalmacnut's modified bios? I'm going to get this board soon I think.
  4. Installed the following script: http://rapidshare.com/files/67089602/p5ke_leopard.zip Unfortunately all I got for my efforts was kernel panic. However, the script may have mentioned it was backing up extensions while it ran. If it did, I just need to know where those backups are located. If anyone can point me to them I'd be very happy. Thanks in advance. _R
  5. Iatkos OSX 10.5.1 Asus p5k-E wifi 4 GB ram Intel Q6600 Can't remember what model my wifi card is, not using the motherboard's. Also have a pci-e firewire card as well. _R
  6. I tried 2 different patched kexts with no luck. I was hoping someone may have solved this particular problem before. I'll keep digging.
  7. New to Logic on the Mac!

I use a Motu 828mkII with Logic and it runs great. Its a little more muscle than you need maybe but its got decent pre-amps and handy mic/line inputs right up front. Will rack nicely with your Unitor too. You might find that LOgic 8 has a steep-ish learning curve for you. If so, I recommend the MacProVideo tutorials which, if you're industrious enough you can find torrents of.
  8. Anyone run into this and find a workaround? Thanks in advance. _R
  9. I'm having a problem authorizing Omnisphere in Logic 8 on my Iatkos 10.5.1 hackintosh. I spent all weekend updating to Iatkos 10.5.4 and the problem remains so I reverted as the 10.5.4 installation didn't appear as stable. Basically, when I go to authorize Omnisphere offline, the challenge code field is empty. I can't get a proper code to appear. If anyone has any hints, I checked a thread for a similar problem involving Izotope plugins but was hoping we could discuss the problem in terms of Leopard as that thread is fairly old. Thanks in advance, _R
  10. This is an OSX only computer. However, I think I figured it out. I think it was overheating for some reason. I opened the case and fired it back up and its working fine now. Hopefully it will stay that way and I'll be able to figure out a cooling solution. Its weird because I'm not overclocking or anything.
  11. I finally got my Iatkos hackintosh up and running. OSx loads fine and the wifi works. However, after about 5 minutes, without fail, my computer just shuts down completely. Here's my hardware: Asus p5k-e wifi-ap MB Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz CPU ATI X1950 GT 512MB VGA G-Skill 4ghz DDR2 1066 Ram Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
