  1. Hi everybody, I got a little problem running Mountain Lion on my system. I first bought Mountain Lion and tried it with #####. But after installation the only thing I got was the Apple logo with the loading circle underneath. Starting with -v mode tells me, that something went wrong with the Bluetooth. USBF: 14.146 AppleUSBEHC I [0xffffff8012c5b000]:: Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0x1a, timing out! (Addr: 6, EP:2) **** [AppleBluetoothHCIControllerUSBTransport][ConfigurePM] -- ERROR -- waited 30 seconds and still did not get the commandWakeup() notification -- this = 0xffffff80128e7000 **** [iOBluetoothHCIController::setConfigState] calling registerService Therefore I tried it using iAtkos ML2 and some different methods but exact the same error appeared again and again. Is there any possibility to turn of Bluetooth or get it running somehow? --- My system specs: Gigabyte GA-Z77N-Wifi SanDisk Extreme 120 GB Corsair Vengeance 8 GB Asus GT 640 Grapic card Intel Core i7 3770 > I read an article about these specs and it shoud be perfect for using Mac on it. Maybe I need to change some things inside the BIOS. But there is nothing like an option of turning off the Bluetooth. Thanks a lot for your help ...

    iATKOS S3 is released!

@ nameci: thank you very much for your fast answer. i also tried to start in verbose-mode and i also changed the bios from ahci to ata and back to ahci. these are the two options i only can choose. the result is nearly the same even in v-mode. have a look at the picture. thx

    iATKOS S3 is released!

hi, ok. i tried to install iatkos s3 but it failed. it doesn't start anything. i am not able to get in the install-menu. when i start the computer with the iatkos s3-cd in the rom the following message-screen occurs (have a look @ the pictures) so ... actually i am a noob in all these mac-on-pc-stuff and now, i don't know what to do. maybe anybody can help. below the messages which came up when i try to install iatkos s3. for info: i got a dell xps m1530 notebook. the first pic shows the info which came up when i started the install-cd the first time. after it crashed i restarted by pressing the on-off-button and then the second-pic-message came up. maybe anybody understands what's the problem

    iATKOS S3 is released!

@ macusers: thanks. maybe it will work for me, too. all the former versions did not work that's the reason why i like to know if anybody has a fully-working mac-dell-xpsm1530 @ nameci: because everything is working fine for you, i want to ask you the same question: do you have a dell xps m1530 notebook? thx guys

    iATKOS S3 is released!

@ macusers: hi, does that mean, there is no real conflict of the nvidia-drivers anymore? because it was not possible to fix this problem with der sleep enable kext. do you have a full-working system? that also means you can absolutely shut-down your m1530-notebook without pressing the On/Off-Button?

    iATKOS S3 is released!

hi guys, i asked the following question some month before but now, there is a new os-version, i will ask again. i have a dell xps m1530 laptop. how does shutdown/sleep work on this system with the new os-version? still not working? please let me know. thank you very much.
  8. hi guys, in different threats around the world wide web i read articles about running hackintosh on a dell mini 10v. all these people telling that they are running hackintosh on a dell mini 10v also say that it is running 100% perfect. my question: DOES SHUTDOWN also work on a hackintosh on the dell mini 10v? thank you for your reply
  9. ok, thank you dlach for the information. i mean. i am windows-user or linux as well. when i need to shutdown these systems it's easy to write a program in c++ (for example) to shutdown windows for example. to write shutdown-progs for linux is also no hard stuff. so i thought. maybe there is anybody out there who really know how to write programs for hackintosh and who also know how to create programs which are able to control all the hardware because OSX is kind of unix. i don't know very much about the hackintosh-system. when i installed it the first time, it was also the first time i have ever heard something of "kext-files". so i am a real noob. but thank you very much for all the information.
  10. @dlach: hi, you wrote that your hibernate-function should pretty well. does your hibernate work? that means: after hibernate your dell and then pressing the power-button again ... does your system start perfectly and without any errors? i don't necessarily need this shutdown-functions, too but i am looking for a way to get my system down after using it. what i did do in the past (when i had iatkos installed the last time) was to shutdown the system with the shutdown-function. then the system turned of the monitor but was still not shutdowned. when i now wanted to restart the system by pressing the power-button, nothing works. of course because nothing was shutdowned. so i needed to press the power-button for a few seconds after shutdown to turn of the system. but i guess it's pretty anoying to hold this power-button for some seconds to shutdown the system. that's the reason why i don't use it right now. but maybe there is something like a workaround. to bring the system into hibernate-state means at least to shut it down in some way. if it works (i mean hibernate) please let me know. Otherwise. How do you guys turn off your xps m1530? Thank you for your help guys
  11. hi @ luggi and @ Urthwhyte, you guys wrote you have got snow leopard running on your m1530. does that include the "shutdown", too? for me it's very important to know if shutdown works now, because that's the reason why i didn't install macOSX in the past. I would be very thankful if you gave me an answer thanx
  12. hi @ all, after a while it's time for me to ask the following question again. i have a dell xps m1530 notebook. the last time i installed macOSX 10.5.7, the shutdown-function did not work. how does it look like with the latest macOSX-version 10.6.2? does "shutdown" work now? thanxxx
  13. Hi, i got a question. does mac-osx (maybe iatkos, kalyway, etc.) works on a dell mini netbook? i read an article: http://iatkos.wikidot.com/recommended-osx86-netbooks where it's said which kind of netbooks/notebooks are gonna work with hackmac. and the dell mini seems to be a good choice. the problem with the dell xps m1530 ist, that SHUTDOWN/SLEEP, wlan and lan don't work. Does anybody know if shutdown/sleep/lan/wlan works with the dell mini 9 netbook? does anybody test it? how does it work? perfectly, fast, slow, ...? but the most important stuff for me is to know if shutdown/sleep works. the last question: i can't find this "Dell Mini 9 Laptop computer/Netbook". There is already a Dell Inspiron Mini 10v. does it work for this, too? or which netbook do i need to take? thank you very much for your help.

Snow Leopard on a DELL XPS M1530

Hi PaulOSX, does that mean, the shutdown is working fine for you, too? And ethernet as well as wlan are also working? If so, could you post a little install-guide with all the options you used? Please from the beginning (10.5.x - install and update to snow leopard then) and keep it as easy as possible because i am an absolutely newbie. thank you very much

Snow Leopard on a DELL XPS M1530

Hey overshoot. i read the contributions starting at page 35 of the thread (where your adress: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0&start=700 links me). it's pretty interesting, of course. but i am a newbie in mac and all this. therefore i have some further questions you may answer. i would appreciate this: a) you guys got snow leopard working very well on a xps m1530 (as you wrote). does this includes the ethernet- and, wireless-network,too? what about the shutdown/sleep-function? is it running, too? is it possible to get a tutorial from the beginning? that means: the installation with leopard 10.5.x. i know there are thousands of tutorial here how to install leopard 10.5.x. but what leopard did you use (i would like to have the exact same) and did leopard also worked well on your system, after installation? that means with wlan, lan and shutdown/sleep-function? if so, i would be very thankful if you post a tutorial for exact this. macgirls tutorials are very good but i always had the problem with wlan and lan (doesn't matter that much because i hat usb-2-lan and -wlan-adapters). but the shutdown/sleep-function never worked for me. that's the main-reason why i didn't install leopard again. could you help me with this? thx
