  1. Make bootable USB from DMG on Windows

sorry for the old topic bump! I was able to get it working by downloading a trial version of MacDrive for Windows and then going to modify/edit partitions and clicked on my drive. I hit 'initialize disk' and then went back to Transmac and formatted it as HSF+ then reformatted it with the expanded snow leopard image.
  2. Dell Vostro 220

Thanks. I think I figured out the sound drivers when I went looking for them but it was a while ago and I can't seem to recall what they were. They are out there somewhere though I know that much. I found what I had posted:
  3. Dell Vostro 220

Please let me know what version of OS X you used as well as what settings you clicked under customize to make it work. I was able to install OS X but received kernel panic every time I tried to boot into leopard and gave up. I am also using a different video card, but not a 3450.
  4. Dell Vostro 220

I can install everything fine using 10.5.6 but as soon as it restarts to boot it gets kernel panic and hangs using Voodoo 9.5. @Sam-i-am: Are you to the point where it would work if you had another video card? I'm running an X1300 in my PCI-E slot just because I couldn't find any support for the onboard video on a G45 chipset.
  5. [FIXED] iPC + ACPI kernel error

I'm having the same error, but I have a different motherboard than you so I can't flash it with your ROM. Please advise.
  6. Dell Vostro 220

If you look through my posts I've tried a bunch of stuff, none of which has worked.
  7. Help with P5N-D $20 Reward.

Try using Voodoo 9.5 and setting cpu=1
  8. Just tried again without selecting Voodoo 9.5, same error.
  9. No, it's actually for a Vostro 220. I have not tried vanilla, just Voodoo 9.5 because I have an SSE2/SSE3 processor. I suppose I'll go retry right now with a vanilla kernel just for the hell of it.
  10. Alright well I just burned the iso using nero and booted from it. The computer just restarts like 5 seconds into darwin launching. Any ideas?
  11. I'm now using iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5 Final. I'm running an X1300 because the integrated video isn't supported, so I have natit_ATIauto kexts downloaded already for after I finish installing. I also downloaded the drivers for the Realtek RTL8111/8168B off Realtek's website so I should have ethernet. Now all I need to do is figure out the sound (ICH10 HD Audio??) drivers. However, this is all just in theory because I haven't even ran the disc yet. I'm also going to be making sure I check the ICH10 Sata drivers compatibility in the chipset options. Is there anything else I should have to change/that anybody knows before I give it a shot in the morning?
  12. I have all of those distros from past install attempts but I've never got anything working. I just picked up a new dell vostro 220 that has the G45 Express chipset. I have an X3100 that I can throw in so I can have video support, but how will the chipset play with the rest of my computer? I am running Vista so I shrank the volume by 20gb then made a new raw 20gb partition (Z:\). If I throw in one of these disks, can I install OS X to that new partition without messing up my Windows install? I read that I'll have to fix the boot order or something using the repair console on the vista disc but I can't find the guide now, anyone have a link to it? Also, can I pre-download the kexts and stuff I'll need and put them on a USB drive or something so I can install them incase I don't have internet out of the box?
