  1. Atheros Network Drivers

Hi all, Just checking on an update to a previously asked question. I have a NetGear WNDA3100 Wireless N Adapter and I believe it's a AR9100 Atheros chipset. Do you know if it's supported or working yet? I just bought the damn thing and would love to see if I can get it to work. Thanks.
  2. EFiX: OSx86 gone commercial?

Yeah, I just realized this after reading the posts a second time. I missed that the first time. I have no doubt it exists. But, I just don't care anymore. Unless it drives to my house and installs itself I won't own one. Or it's 12 dollars.
  3. EFiX: OSx86 gone commercial?

Well... besides that review on "teknojunie" which again no offense is the worst written article I have seen on the internets in sometime. I have no problem with English not being your native language. But, than please for the love of god just write the article IN your native language. But, anyway supposedly amantheboy has previewed and reviewed it. So, yes it has been seen and "touch". Which I have no reason to believe is untrue. So, it does exist. But, it's not coming out in 15 days or i'll eat my hat.
  4. EFiX: OSx86 gone commercial?

No offense.... But, I don't believe you.
  5. I have been emailing them and emailing them to see how I can get one here in America. I would shoot someone in the face for one of these.
  6. I am going to try it tonight Mysticus. I will send you my installer log when I succeed. (Which I am sure I will). But, if I do a clean install this is not a combo update correct? I still need to install my 10.5.2 + upgrade using the 10.5.3 update by you. THEN use the 10.5.4 delta... correct?
  7. EFiX: OSx86 gone commercial?

Yeah, I hate to jump in with my useless opinion. BUT........ I must concur with ulin. Because, sure with the limited motherboards that have been approved and are currently in testing, what is the benefits versus preexisting solutions? I mean sure supposedly it allows you to install using a retail disc. But, that has been done before and works on HCL compatable systems anyway. Is there a price point yet? Because, I guess I could see some benefit in a just plug and play solution, if it was fairly low priced. But, anything above lets say 30 bucks I would just stick with this..... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=76404 None of this means anything to me anyway. Because I have a Nforce board. Which I don't care if you build an entire Mac Pro you are not going to be able to run with a Retail.
  8. Installing 10.5.2 Kalyway Error

First. I am the ONLY one replying to you. So... I don't feel I am being an {censored}. PLUS...it's still relevant. It's because of your hard drive. It's Sata drivers are not compatible with the DVD. Stick it in an external USB case OR use and IDE. Second. There are like 100 posts on the subject. I just grabbed the first one I saw. Though I will admit the search sucks.... but you wouldn't even need it if you just looked around. I was actually just giving you advice to help you on the forum. But, run around calling people {censored}s. I will still see your post count at 8 when no one replies to you. OR you can try this....... A little more relevant I admit. forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=66834&pid=473939&mode=threaded&start=#entry473939 P.S. OH... Third. Most of us didn't run up in here saying "and just give me the answer". Your best friend is www.google.com. That is not a flame either. Trust me. It's the truth. No "{censored}ness" intended.
  9. EFiX: OSx86 gone commercial?

I feel like I should do one of those.... Slow walk backwards out of the door things.....
  10. Installing 10.5.2 Kalyway Error

It's most likely because you are using a Sata HDD. Look here........ www.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/index.php/t17421.html and you should really search around before posting. You honestly won't get many answers if you ask questions that have been asked a million times before.
  11. Installing 10.5.2 Kalyway Error

Are you using a Sata CD-Rom? or an IDE?
  12. You cannot truely use the search on this forum. It is not functioning like it should. The best way to located anything on this forum is to go out to google and type what you are looking for adding insanelymac to it... IE.... "PAM Error 10.5.3 insanelymac"They are currently working on a solution to this issue. I have seen some posting on it in the Donator's Lobby. We should all leave Mysticus a little breathing room. Follow his instructions carefully. Always backup...and I advise not performing any updates from anyone on your main system. Make sure you are carefully selecting your Kernel and settings. AS he said before... The general settings should work for most. But, updates should be done only if you know what you are doing. I didn't even listen to this advice. As I know very little....... I just got lucky.
  13. On a side note. Mysticus. I know you are busy yelling at people..... But, I wanted to mention that on your advice. I lowered my memory back down to stock memory speed of 667 and have not had a freeze since. Thanks Mysticus.
  14. I said I believe. But, I will find the link that talked about them replacing the PAM in 10.5.3. Hold on. Let me look.
  15. Thanks to both of you. Yeah... I figured out the /usr/bin/login/ last night as well. The forums were down right before I went to bed so was unable to respond that I had already figured that out. The reason Mysticus that this happens is that 10.5.3 replaces the the 10.5.2 PAM with an updated one. I read about it in the Apple forums. So, I believe that if you scripted the update to delete the login while finalizing it is actually the fix that apple performs. Now, on to business..... I tried both test packages. Even from a clean system. Ha. They still require me to replug... BUT.. I know longer get the annoying TR Wireless Utility that pops up. So, it is a minor improvement. But, what I did was.... Installed test packet 1. Restarted. Logged in and nothing changed. Rebooted again... still no change... had to replug. Rebooted again with -f -v. The system never booted again. I did something. I don't know what. Reinstalled and updated to 10.5.3. DID NOT install the driver... instead I just used your test package 1. Rebooted. Did not come on at start. BUT... the driver was installed. So we know your package DOES properly install the driver. When I replugged the Network Config popped up letting me know I had a new connection. I restarted again. Still had to replug. Restarted again. Still have to replug. Installed the second test package. Restarted. Still had to replug X 3 So, there you go. Ready for what ever else you have to throw at it. Thanks again for the help.
