  1. Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

I got the Atheros AR9280 AR5BHB92 half size mini PCI-E card. With a modified BIOS (no whitelist), it worked out of the box.
  2. Hi Dong, thanks for your efforts on the driver. I am now able to switch resolutions and enter sync mode on both displays, internal and external (VGA) on my T60 with ATI X1400 running 10.6.6. I used the AtomBIOS version and did not change the EDID. However, everything on the internal display is garbled, there's noise and weird colors (text is barely readable). I had this problem before with the MadChicken driver. It only occurs when an external display is connected. Do I have to change the kext's EDID info or is there anything else I might try? Here is the output of RadeonDump: http://pastebin.ca/2051324 Edit: here is one without VGA display attached & internal display working: http://pastebin.ca/2051332 btw: Where should I extract the EDID info? Linux or switchResX? I read that those can be different... Thanks in advance for helping me out! Edit2: My card is not in the quirks table/known cards list (01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility X1400 [1002:7145]). Should I still try the noAtomBIOS version? Is it possible that that version might fix my problem? Edit3: My issues have been resolved by using the noAtomBIOS version! Thank you for this wonderful kext
  3. You, Sir, are awesome. This is working great. Fully working T60 with Sleep and everything else! Thank you so much! I don't know what exactly you changed, but it works!
  4. As reported before, this does not work for me: only vertical stripes on black background - the vertical stripes become brighter over time. Here is my log: http://pastebin.com/vcXtG72j
  5. Now with the new kext it seems to reactivate the graphics and backlight after sleep, but it only shows vertical stripes on black background and the system crashes.
  6. This doesn't sound like a RadeonHD-related problem to me. Have you checked the console for any interesting messages? Do you have SleepEnabler.kext or something like that? Seems to me your computer tries to go to sleep but cannot for some reason. Did you try sleep without RadeonHD? I also had one case where a USB device or the USB bus caused this problem.
  7. Hey madchicken, thanks a lot for the clarification! I really appreciate your work and help! I think this was related to Quartz 2D Extreme. Scrolling and Dashboard bug seems to be gone now that it is disabled. I'm not sure if this is related though or it's maybe something else that I changed. Thanks for this new kext, but my screen stays black also with this version. Does not seem to be the backlight, the whole card seems to be off. Can I assist you with something to help fixing this bug? Logs or anything? Yes, this still occurs with the new version.
  8. Hey there, I'm succcessfully using the RadeonHD driver. Thanks to the coders for this great improvement! However, a few quirks remain and I would just like to know if they are bugs in the driver or somehow my fault. Could someone have a look at this and tell me if you experience the same? Distortions when scrolling websites with touchpad: http://code.google.com/p/osx86-driver-rade...ues/detail?id=7 Screen stays black when resuming from sleep: http://code.google.com/p/osx86-driver-rade...ues/detail?id=8 Mouse cursor disappears in some textboxes: http://code.google.com/p/osx86-driver-rade...ues/detail?id=9 Sometimes dashboard widgets are displayed as just white color until they are repainted (not issued on google code) Thanks a lot for your feedback!
  9. Here is what I found: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1339582 So I guess you only have to base64-encode the binary data. In this case, it's from Hex to B64, but I'm sure you'll find out how to encode binary data as well.
  10. Are the bug reports on the google code site read by the coders? It would be so cool if you could acknowledge the bugs or say if they are not RadeonHD bugs. Google code issues lists are so much more convenient for bug processing than this looong forum thread. Thanks in advance for your help.
  11. Hi all, I'm trying to install OS X Leopard on my Thinkpad T43p. I'm using this release to install: http://osx.kbot.de/comments.php?Disc...&page=1#Item_0 , because it is for machines that don't come with SSE3 which my Pentium M probably doesn't understand. As my hdd is small, I want to install OS X to an external USB drive. The installation went well. I formatted the external drive (with MBR, not GUID) and installed OS X. I customized the Installation and told it to install the MBR bootloader. My Laptop is able to boot from USB but when I select the USB drive as the primary boot device in the bios list, it loads until after the BIOS screen and then hangs with a blank prompt and the blinking _ sign in the top left corner. I think my problem is either related to MBR problems (maybe I need another boot loader on that drive like Grub?) or to problems of my laptop booting from USB. Does anyone have an idea what I might do about this? Sorry for asking here. I've been googling around for a while now but it's not that easy to find useful information about this. Not many people seem to want OS X on an external hdd. Thanks a lot for your patience and help.
