  1. Dell E521 - Success!

Anybody able to get the ethernet working?
  2. Dell E521 - Success!

Im workin on it now, i have gotten most of it working except my graphics card (Nvidia 8500Gt) and my network card, (Same one that came with the computer.) When I'm installing it, i select, Chipset drivers -NforceTest (Works better than Nforce Driver beacuse DVD's now work.) Audio Drivers -Install later with the driver from the first post, Graphic Drivers Not working! -Tried just about everything, I select Nvidia kexts and NVkush and it wont start, I tried the same driver i used before and it causes it to crash.. Im stuck here! However if I select nothing, it boots, and I can run in low resolution with a lot of tearing. Network Not working! -I have select everything and I cant get this to work either. USB2.0 -Had to install this to get my usb ports to work. And Left everything else at the default settings. Cliff Notes Nvidia 8500Gt doesn't work. and My network card doesn't work.
  3. Dell E521 - Success!

I tried this, and was getting an HFS+ partition error... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...t=0#entry682170 there's a forum I made about it... I tinkered around for a while and got to the bootloader, and now when i select Windoze it says Winload.exe is missing or corrupt. I've tried repairing it and bunches of other stuff to no luck.... The Mac side works fine though. any help would be great.
  4. I've had Mac running on my computer and I've had just Windows Vista (obviously). But now I'm trying to dual boot. I used this guide ------- http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...p;mode=threaded I used my windows restore disks, wiped Mac off my drive, went straight Vista, Then Cut 40 GB off of the Windows Partition, popped in my Leo4All DVD and restarted. Then I formated the 40 Gig part to Mac. And All that, then restarted......... Then I get a HFS+ Error. After Looking into this, it seemed like I had to set my Mac Partition as active... Still there... Then I did repair MBR in some utility in Hirens Boot CD, I forget which program, Sorry.... Then I restart and Voila! its the darwin boot loader! I pressed F8 to select my operating and do Mac. It works! Then I restart and select Windows. Then I get. So I have tried using my Windows DVD to repair my installation and a bunch of other stuff. I've found a few forums on this but none of the solutions seem to work. Thanks for the help.
  5. So did you get the dvd drive to work? i have the same computer, so I would assume the same DVD burner, plus I added another Samsung Dvd burner. Neither of them work.... Finder lets me eject both of them but it wont read DVD's.
  6. Not Many Programs Work On Leo4All Install

Yep its updated to the latest version because software update says "Software Update doesn’t have any new software for your computer at this time." still wont work... idk maby I'll try a clean install tonight.
  7. Not Many Programs Work On Leo4All Install

Okay, I did the "Patch all binaries" option in Marvin's AMD Utility and selected my harddrive, now Garage Band works, iDVD pops up at the create a project screen, then quits out. Front Row fades the screen to black then quits back to the desktop. and iMovie still wont work.... iPhoto has always worked perfect tho.
