  1. 10.5.2 killed my EFI Leopard install !

I wish I had looked here first...... I just killed my Hackintosh with the official update! boot now just goes round in circles.... Anyone have any idea how i can fix this? Can i replace the kext thats causing the problem? Have been using iATKOS v1.0i (10.5.1) Can i use a command at boot to enter terminal and do something?
  2. Help with previously working Intel PRO/100 VE NIC

I fixed this problem.....by buying a usb ethernet dongle...works straight out of the box....so not really solved!!! Still, it works and i'm posting from My Dell 5150 Hackintosh right now
  3. I installed IATKOS v1.0i The other night, dual booting with windows vista on my DELL DIMENSION 5150c. All works well, I used the online instructions to edit the plist file in ionetworkingfamily.kext, used the terminal commands and then repaired the permissions on the disk. Rebooted and everything worked fine. I was surfing the net with safari and on the itunes store! The I ran software update and it installed a couple of updates - itunes etc, but not the apple osx update. Rebooted and now the Intel Pro/100VE Nic seems to be seen, but says the cable is unplugged. Without changing the hardware it works fine in Windows so I know the cable is fine. The problem is, ive attampted to fix it via various methods and now i think ive fubar'd the kext completely. I cant even get into network settings without the window crashing and having to force a quit. Anyone tell me how I can resent it back to the original so i can try again? Or anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Or does anyone have a fix i can use?! I thought Id post it here as it doesnt seem to be a problem anyone else has encountered. Sorry if its the wrong place. Thanks in advance
  4. Intel PRO/100 VE NIC

Got this working on my Dell Dimension 5150C by editing the info.plist file and then running the terminal commands and repairing permissions, but after installing a couple of updates via the apple software update this seems to have stopped working. The additional text is still in the info.plist file, so i ran the terminal commands again, but to no avail. Can anyone give me info on how to reset it to the original so i can redo everything, or give me another fix. Anyone eklse have this happen? The Ethernet just shows up as not connected now. TIA
