  2. I think you need the attached file. Parallels desktop launcher.. Credits to the original creator, can't remember who he was. Put it in your Apps folder and on your dock and use that instead. It will ask for your username and pass to launch btw. Ryan Parallels_Desktop_Launcher.zip

  4. Random reboots

Hi, has anyone had any random reboots with Snow, no necessarily just on this computer. Its not that OSX is rebooting, its the laptop, it just goes off and on. It seems to happen when I watch a long youtube vid or something. Here is my extra kext list, apart from that everything is vanilla. I didnt have this prob with Leopard. ClamshellDisplay.kext fakesmc.kext IO80211Family.kext IOATAFamily.kext IONetworkingFamily.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext OpenHaltRestart.kext PlatformUUID.kext SleepEnabler.kext VoodooBattery.kext VoodooHDA.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext VoodooSDHC.kext VoodooTSCSync.kext any help is appreciated..
  5. **Updated** SleepEnabler for 10.6.5

Just a note: If the SleepEnabler doeesnt work for you for whatever reason you can go back to the 10.6.1 Kernel ( if you have it backed up ) and the machine will boot. Worked for me before I found out about the new SleepEnabler
  6. Voodoo 9.5 Kernel Beta 1 Available Now

Hi, Sorry to be a dummy, but will this Kernel - when finished - solve the problem of the cores of dual core machines ( esp AMD ) falling out of Sync? Thanks for any info
  7. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

  8. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

As I said its an Dell Inspirion 1525
  9. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

No you shouldnt need it as far as I am aware, I didnt use his guide at all I just went headlong in and looked for an EFI string. ooops sorry its in /library/preferences/system configuration
  10. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

Try this: Working EFI com.apple.boot.plist for Insprion 1525 with working native resolution changer. You will need to boot with an external monitor and enable the expose sleep corner before the sleep will wake. The Efi is take from a X3100 on a mac but I removed alot of the options. put it in system/library/preferences/system configuration. Delete your original com.apple.boot.plist first and drag and drop this one in. works perfectly. com.apple.Boot.plist.zip
  11. [HOW-TO] Alternative To “Sleep Trick” On Intel GMAX3100

  13. Well on my 1525 I just did a chameleon boot and installed off the DVD as vanilla as poss, I am still using the vanilla kernel and sleep works fine. restart just shutsdown but its working just like a mac. I'd try going for vanilla as poss every time. You get to know what you've done to it so to speak.
  14. Help! Ok, I've spent days on this and looked around loads. I have my Inspirion 1525 working all ok apart from a couple of things 1. I cant get the ALPS touchpad working. Is FFScroll the only option, will that work? 2. the sleep app that someone made, how do I go about editing rc.common or rc.local, i have tried the sudo su - thing but I still dont have enough permissions to write to the file. I am not sure but if anyone wants a a working GMA X3100 efi string I have one. Apologies for asking this but I've been playing with this all day and my brains going to Mush! Thanks
  15. [HOW-TO] Alternative To “Sleep Trick” On Intel GMAX3100

You wouldnt happen to have a copy of the format of that rc.local file would you? Leopard doesnt have it
