  1. Can't Click or Type after Lion Install

I think this issue is related to wireless adapters. This same issue happened on my desktop. The system started responding after about 10 minutes. I removed the wireless adapter and it booted up fine. Hopefully there is a fix soon .
  2. iAtkos L1 help

iAtkos L worked perfect for me. I do have different motherboard, you just have to keep trying it. I don't feel comfortable using the same drive for both windows and osx. I would recommend using two different drives. When installing osx just unhook the windows drive so there is no opps'.

  4. iAtkos L reboot hang.

Hey all, I am on my 2nd iAtkos L1 install and thought I had the problem nailed but it just popped up again. When I installed my latest install of Lion everything was working perfectly, wireless etc. When I rebooted my screen resolution was set to 1024x800 so I set it back to 1440x900 (small monitor) and rebooted. Once the system came back up the desktop and launcher loaded fine but it ignored all user input for about 10 minutes. This is what my first install was doing so I reinstalled. Not sure if this is an NVEnabler issue so if anyone has any past experiences with an issue like this feel free to assist me Thanks! 5. iAtkos L1 is Out

Working so far. One weird issue I have noticed is a huge 5+ minute lag before the UI starts accepting keyboard and mouse input, both are USB. MSI P43-C51 MOBO.
  6. Clone not seen.

I selected everything within CCC. Thanks for the TM86 link it worked perfectly. Seems the second drive was lacking a bootloader! All is fine, Thanks again.
  7. Clone not seen.

So the last week I have been getting some random sounds from my HD (Clicking every minute or so.). I have used CCC and SuperDuper! to clone my install onto another HD. I can boot into it fine but only if I use the bootloader on the original HD. Once I take the original HD out of the scenario the system don't boot. Is there something I failed to do to the new drive making it not present it's self as a bootable option? Note that these two HDs are the same make and model. 8. MBR Start! Not booting.

First off hello all. I have been reading the site for about a year now and just got my first hackintosh up and running about 3 weeks ago. Today I got a weird issue when I rebooted my system. I did have an issue before where if I had an external usb hard drive plugged in during reboot it wouldn't boot. Well today I forgot it was plugged in and of course it failed to boot so I restarted and unplugged the device. Now I just get this red text saying "MBR Start!" has anyone seen this? If so what is going on? Thanks for any tips you may provide.

  10. Endless DVD Reboot - iAtkos

Make sure your DVD drive pins are set to master and not slave
  11. New patch for iATKOS v1.0ir2

Well I got pretty far today in the installs. I downloaded Kalyway iso but it failed to load, does nothing at the gray apple screen, I waited a while for it to do something and it never did. Although I did notice an error that got me thinking. My dvd drive was set to slave, I had forgot I took out my master CD drive and never switched the pins, that fixed my "Still waiting on root device" errors when trying iATKOS iso. I tried bad bios first and it failed to get anywhere so I tried the normal iATKOS with all the patchs but bad bios and bamm it started to load. Everything seemed to go smooth, the install took about an hour as expected and I got the Install sucess screen. Here is where I get nothing, no welcome screens, no errors nothing. If I leave the disk in it just starts the whole reinstall process all over again, if I take it out it just sits in DOS and does nothing. Anyone else had this happen? In another guide on this forum there is a "iATKOS-AMD.zip" patch, I never applied this to my iso because I figured ir2 covered that. Checked: nvinject, remove thermal and powermanagement ntfsg3 Process: Torrent > iATKOS_v1.0i.iso >iATKOS_v1.0ir2.ppf > iATKOS_v1.0ir2-EqUaTe1.ppf > iATKOS_v1.0ir2-EqUaTe1.iso > DVD
  12. New patch for iATKOS v1.0ir2

): as far as I could tell same errors. Ill check around for a BIOS update and maybe see about downloading that 4.4gig kalyway. Thanks for the help though!
  13. New patch for iATKOS v1.0ir2

Can't hurt to try the bad bios patch again. I have tried my current DVD on two HDS now. Will update in 30 min or so.
  14. New patch for iATKOS v1.0ir2

I looked in my bios and don't see anything about ATA, AHCI or SATA, looked threw the book hoping maybe there were some jumpers or something.. nothing.
  15. New patch for iATKOS v1.0ir2

Another Help post (: I have been soaking up a lot of this information but still can't get my DVD to boot up. First I obtained my copy of iATKOS_v1.0i.iso (MD5 checked out o.k.) Then applied all the patches always checking the MD5. Now that my final .iso was written to DVD using Nero I get the following errors. The first one is more of a visual error, if I let the timer count down when the CD boots up (press F8 within the time limit) I get a gray screen with a loading icon and an apple in the center of the screen. After some time a small gray circle with a line threw it pops up and it just sits there doing nothing. Second if I press F8 then type -v in the command line I get some loading text then at the bottom I get a few errors. Waiting for boot volume with UUID: 33840580-152F-346A-BEDO-8675851AOE79 IOATAController device blocking bus. Still waiting for root device This is where the loading stops, it keeps repeating "Still waiting for root device" and never does anything more. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=87901 Not sure if step 5 is for me or not.
