for "newbs", well you can get the Datel Wii Lan Adapter at Gamestop, EBgames, and so on for 29.99 then download this ftp://sustworks.com/USBAx8817x_103b11.dmg and then install it. then what you do next is restart your computer, connect the Wii lan adapter and your done.
  3. Realtek ALC861VD sound fix?

thanks but i still cant get it to work. heres where i have been looking for files http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=32859 i was wondering if you can post up the links for those files you used, and how exactly do i use them. i have been reading everywhere but i cant get my sound to work. every time i tried i always seem to corrupt OSX some way. i have installed OSX about 6 times now just trying to get my sound working. -thanks in advanced also when i downloaded (the latest) AppleHDAPatcherv1.18 it tells me to "please drag and drop your linux codec dump into the AppleDHA Patcher icon." first of all what do i drag in? and where do i get it for my integrated sound card and im guessing its the frog looking icon on the DOCK. so whe you tried to install this correctly was it easy? i mean how did it start working? did you have to go to "System Prefrences" to get it to work? so far (from the link above) i have tried these so far to get my sound working...ALL WITH NO LUCK. well maybe its just me, but i am probably doing it wrong if its one of these that you have used to get your integrated sound working. may you please give intructions on how exactly you did it....? 5. Force screen resolution

how exactly do you do this? i opened a terminal window and once i get to this part and press enter <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1152x864x32</string> i get this <key>Graphics Mode</key> -bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline' <string>1152x864x32</string>
  6. Realtek ALC861VD sound fix?

im kind of a noob at this, but i got everything working BUT the sound. i just checked my motherboard specs and it has Realtek ALC861VD integrated. at this point i am unsure of what to do exactly or what to look for. i tried looking for drivers but none for OSX (of course)
  7. Network Solution for Leopard

thanks that works, although i think the Datel Lan Adapter for Wii is a little bit pricey, but it was cheaper than buying a new board, or trying to buy an internal card. i was a bit heasitant to try it because of the price but this solved my problem. now i just need a sound card and everything will be perfect!!!!!
