  1. HP Touchsmart HT2T install

Hi, I'm thinking of getting the HP touchsmart HT2T and hackint0shing it. Here are the following processor/gpu specs: Intel® Core i3-380UM (1.33GHz, 3MB L3Cache) +512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 [HDMI, VGA] Do you think I'd be able to successfully install either 10.5 or 10.6 (preferably) on this setup? Touch would be a nice bonus, but not necessary, I can dual boot into windows to get this. I'd be using it to program mostly (if no osx, then I'll just install ubuntu). Any successes, or similar spec installs would be reassuring before I buy this bad boy. Thanks!
  2. I have a barebones foxconn 330i system that I have loaded with 2gb RAM (800 MHz) and a 500gb hard drive. I really want to get OS X (leopard or snow leopard, doesn't matter to me) up an running so that I can use it as a home theater machine. I would like to use the HDMI out on the box so that I can watch 1080p .mkv files on my television. So far I have been unsuccessful in getting windows 7 to do this well, and jolicloud was a bust (at least I thought so). I'm comfortable with OSX which is why I'd prefer to hackint0sh it above all else. I have an external DAC that I plan to use with the box, so sound is not really an issue (other than getting the DAC recognized, but it should automatically recognize) and wifi I know is a lot to ask for (I can probably replace the internal with a dell 1510 card.) Any suggestions or guides that already exist would be helpful. THANKS!
  3. I've never posted before, but I've gleaned so much great stuff from this site. I don't know if there is already a post regarding this, but I've searched hi and low, and haven't come up with anything. On my ASUS F3JC laptop, 10.5.4 will randomly ask me to reboot, interrupting whatever I'm doing (I get the multi-language 'its time to reboot now, moron' screen) which is super frustrating. My specs are T5500 Intel, GeForce Go 7300, 2 gb RAM... can't really think of anything else of import. I use a PCI mini2 usb dongle wifi card ... maybe thats the problem??? If anyone has a clue what's going on, I'd love some input. other than this, intel proset 3945 (which is being worked on) and the sound (a realtek card) its works perfectly.
  4. Best laptop for Osx86

The Asus f3JC I'm running supports OSx86 fairly well, but, its doesn't have any sound or wireless internet. I'm hoping someone will hook us up with a kext that works and supports the intel pro/ve 3495 wireless card. Until then, this laptop operates acceptably under osx (although, I tried to update using apple updating software, and it crashed the OS - had to reinstall because every time I rebooted it told me to reboot. )
