  1. The first Mac you ever used.

iMac G3, one of those all-in-one with fancy colours. At school. I've used earlier systems (by manufacture) but that was the first mac i've used.
  2. I bought a macbook pro 13" no more than 2 weeks ago. And since the hard drive is too small I want to replace the stock 160GB 5400 with a 320GB 7200 this one: http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/...asp?driveid=482 Does anyone have any experience with this drive and how it works in the MBP 13". This is the WD Black series WITHOUT the free-fall censor. Any serious noise? Temp problems? Vibrations? Random problems? Thanks.
  3. I know this has been asked before and i have tried searching however i was not able to find some proper results and also got a search error. Anyhow i need a suggestion for a motherboard that is MicroATX that can run Mac OS X 10.6 very well. I know Some Full size motherboards are fantastic at running Retail Snow Leo however I need a mATX motherboard to do so. It has to be a Socket 775 (i have a Core 2 Quad Q9300) And can either support DDR2 or DDR3 prefferably with newer chipsets. Thank you. P.S. I think i posted this in the wrong section, please move if needed. Thanks
  4. Bump. Exactly same problem & looking for the Patched (if avail.) AppleACPIPlatform.kext
  5. Nvm. Delete topic. Problem solved. Srry
  6. I have this damn board. And I hate it now (its been a damn while and i still dont have a normal system running) if u ever get it to boot retail do me a favor, pass me the Boot-132 iso. Thanks
  7. My friend helped me to get my installation of 10.5.6 to work. And I know that he has created the Damn DSDT for my motherboard (MSI X48C Platinum) so where is the file so that I dont need to ask him to compile it again next time? Thanks.
  8. Official Windows 7 pics

Jeez whats with the necro? Dec 8 2008, 03:54 PM to Oct 28 2009, 09:15 PM Almost a year ago.
  9. As we know Windows defines KB as 1024bytes. In reality KB is 1000Bytes. Snow Leo defines KB properly with 1000Bytes. KiB is 1024Bytes So my question is, is there any way to make the system use KiB instead of KB to show file sizes. Im working with different files that are from Windows and while the difference is small I still need snow Leo to use KiB THERE is a thing out there that makes the computer calculate the values incorrectly and show KB as 1024 in SL but rather than making my Mac calculate KB as 1024 id like to use KiB The incorrect way: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=777991 I dont want to use. In case anyone is too border to read all that:How can I make my 10.6.1 Show file sizes in KiB rather than in KB. Where KB=1000 KiB=1024. Thanks
  10. As the title says, how can i update the drivers for Macbook pro 13" in Bootcamp (vista) I used search -- but got nothing (maybe i dont got right keywords) can somebody tell me or please point me to a link on how to do so. I also google'd but got no specific definitive answer. Thanks in advance
  11. i think its best to wait. Because most likely Apple will have an event in October maybe in 2 weeks. They had it last year in October 14: http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/14/live-fr...otebooks-event/ So id wait. And in fact I am waiting. Im getting financing and when new macbooks/macs become announced and available im buying. Simply put: wait for 2 weeks or so.
  12. alright, so anyone tried or did 10.5.x on this board? @kjellamund ill definitely look at the guide when im doin my setup. Im gonna need help with it, thanks. P.S. I dont care if I have to run SL in 32Bit
  13. As the title says, I want to install 10.6 retail on the board Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR info here Its the DDR3 Variant of the Motherboard as I already have DDR3 1333 Dual Channel RAM from my current non-compatible mobo. I know that 10.6 isnt out YET. A few days left. Im just wandering if anyone had any success with RETAIL installation on this board of 10.6 and if not that then 10.5.x RETAIL install. This will decide if i get the board or not. Thanks in advance.
