  1. Have you tried Unison [http://www.panic.com/unison/] ? I haven't run across a single problem with it in the last 2-3 years (whenever it was initially released).

  6. OpenSuSE 11.0 Installer Looks Gorgeous

Any other known improvements over OS 10.3? The installer kind of reminds me of the old Fedora installer from 1 or 2 (can't remember). Are they (SUSE) doing anything with Gnome or any of the other desktops in OS 11?
  7. Greatest Mac in History

The Macintosh LC, probably the first Apple macintosh I ever used. I still remember playing Oregon Trail, Word/Number Munchers ... all great educational games for the time.
  8. Linux Distributions

Right now its a tie between Fedora Core, Ubuntu, and SUSE since all of them are novice friendly. That is unless you're installing it on a laptop and have little or no experience installing wireless (drivers) support.
  9. Mac users' opinion on Hackintoshs

Personally I like the idea of being able to build a MAC, but in reality you would most likely be spending more money (either all at once or over time) to build a legit MAC. I say that only because one of the previous/current 'Hackintoshes' builds was more than the original cost of the same machine built by Apple minus the additional ram the builder installed. (I believe this Hackintosh was originally built by an individual who had extensive engineering and fabrication abilities because he had to modify a number of things; he was also talking about making that system water cooled as well. This would be well outside the average builders ability without a lot of trial and error and many $$$ down the toilet.) If Apple still allowed clone machines like those from StarMax and UniTron, I would say it would be practical and very fun to build them. But not today and not at the prices they would charge you for various parts.
