  1. Awful Harddrive Speed

Mister_doodi: That was almost spot-on. Xbench results: Sequential Read/Write: 2.5MB/sec Random Read/Write: 2.5MB/sec Edit: Changed to another SATA port on the motherboard and now the speed is what Im used to, thanks for leading me to Xbench to see the resluts with my own eyes
  2. ls8 Thanks for the answear. I noticed there was drivers for the NIC at Realteks website Im such a n00b so please bear with me. This is very exciting for a PC-guy tho
  3. Awful Harddrive Speed

Kalyway installation that works great with one big issue. Reading big files from harddrive is a pain. Copy from DVD to HDD takes ages (4Gb takes 40min. Unpack something to the same harddrive is awful (4Gb takes 30min). Installation of programs take insane amout of time. Is this something that can be fixed or do we have to live with it since its "hackintosh"? CPU: Intel QuadCore MB: Gigabyte X38-QD6 HDD: Segate SATA Thanks in advance
  4. Im so new to all this Mac OS so go easy on me. Both Onboard and Addon NIC works in Windows. I got a funtional Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 install. Everything except the LAN No response from either onboard gigabyte X38-DQ6) nor Realtek 8139 NIC. I installed Leopard before I added the Realtek 8139 but shouldnt Leopard find it like Plugnplay? Ive tried my best to find a solution using both this board and the web but without any success. Is there a "Hardware manager" in Leopard to see if LAN is found? Everyone says Realket 8139 is working without any interaction, whats the first thing to look at in Leopard? Ive tried to download the RealtekR1000_1.04.zip but i cant start the .kext-file in Leopard, how does one install it? Thanks in advance
