    NV GT420M works on OS X 10.6.5 now!

    Hi, is sleep working and wakeup working? I would like to buy this laptop too, but it seems they changed the name of it. In Germany i found only a laptop named Acer Aspire 5742G-5463G50Mnkk. The parts are the same. Here is a ebay link, please have a look at it and please tell me if it is your laptop. LINK Thank you very much, Alex

    Intel HD Graphics / GMA 5700

    Try DisplayConfigX - i had only 1024x768 - but after using that software i had 800x600 and others too. DisplayConfigX generates a DisplayOverride and adds a edid override.
  3. My HP branded hs2300 with Sierra MC8775 chipset is having HP device-id and vendor-id. I modified the Sierra stock drivers with the HP ID´s. The Card is recognised as USB device and working. I can establish connections via OSX modem device dialer. But i would like to use the SIERRA 3G WATCHER software, cause it shows me quality of connection. Is it possible to inject the Sierra device and Vendor ID of the SIERRA MC8775? Thank you guys... By the way, this is a peace of code I suggest to do it: Device (ARPT) { Name (_ADR, Zero) Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) { 0x09, 0x03 }) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package () { "AAPL,slot-name", Buffer (0x08) { "AirPort" }, "device-id", Buffer () { 0x12, 0x43, 0x00, 0x00 //instead of native 4315 //ID:03F0 1E1D native //1199 to 03f0) 6813 to 1e1d) }, "model", Buffer (0x13) { "HP hs2300 ……" }, "device_type", Buffer (0x08) { "Airport" }, "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } }

    UPDATED 20.12. GenericBrightness.kext

    Hi Ivik, may you have a look at my dsdt? I am not quite sure where to find proper entry for storing / reading brightness levels. I do have shortkeys for changing brightness in windows os (FN + Pos1 / End). But in OSX they dont work. You can find them in my dsdt searching q14 / q15. They are connected via link to "brlv"???? By the way brightness is working with device pnlf + dsdt mod for my x3100. Using an old framebuffer for the x3100 from 10.5.2 i have working brightness, but your solution seems better cause its more vanilla, lecker. stable.dsl.zip

    SNOW LEO VANILLA SPEEDSTEP Regarding this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=211705 I was able to generate a DSDT file for VANILLA SPEEDSTEP. This guy also provided a Legacy File for "Serial, Atheros WiFi, SpeedStep C-States". I added Legacy Information for "x61tablet Sound Card, Bluetooth device". Please PM me, if i should have that hour posting the DSDT patches. Alex X61 Tablet 1.6 Ghz C2D LegacyX61T.kext.zip VoodooTSCSync.kext.zip smbios.plist.zip dsdt.dsl.zip

    DSDT Patcher

    Hello guys, i would like to thank you for all the stuff you provided here. I have a sound problem here: I inject via EFI String (stored in com.apple.boot.plist) information for my Intel X3100 video card and for my ADI 1984 sound card. Both of them should be stored in my dsdt . My efi string for sound: <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>PinConfigurations</key> <string></string> <key>built-in</key> <string>0x00</string> <key>layout-id</key> <string>0x0000000a</string> <key>revision-id</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>subsystem-id</key> <string>0x00001984</string> <key>subsystem-vendor-id</key> <string>0x000011d4</string> <key>vendor-id</key> <string>0x00008086</string> </dict> hdef in dsdt at the moment: Device (HDEF) { Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000) Name (_S3D, 0x03) Name (RID, 0x00) Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) { 0x0D, 0x04 }) Method (_PSW, 1, NotSerialized) { Noop } } that´s what i have done so far: Device (HDEF) { Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000) Name (_S3D, 0x03) Name (RID, 0x00) Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) { 0x0D, 0x04 }) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x0C) { "PinConfigurations", Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0a, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x84, 0x80, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-vendor-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0xd4, 0x11, 0x00, 0x00 }, "vendor-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x86, 0x80, 0x00, 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } I dont use codec verbs and pin config data, cause i dont know much about converting it to dsdt. Might any of you capable helping me? Thanks, alex - have a nice weekend

    EFI String into DSDT

    Hey Guys, does someone knows how to "convert" my EFI String values into the proper sections of my dsdt? This are my EFI Strings for Sound + Video <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>PinConfigurations</key> <string></string> <key>built-in</key> <string>0x00</string> <key>layout-id</key> <string>0x0000000a</string> <key>revision-id</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>subsystem-id</key> <string>0x00001984</string> <key>subsystem-vendor-id</key> <string>0x000011d4</string> <key>vendor-id</key> <string>0x00008086</string> </dict> <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>AAPL,HasLid</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>AAPL,HasPanel</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>AAPL,NumDisplays</key> <string>0x00000004</string> <key>AAPL,NumFramebuffers</key> <string>0x00000002</string> <key>AAPL,SelfRefreshSupported</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>AAPL01,DataJustify</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>AAPL01,Depth</key> <string>0x00000020</string> <key>AAPL01,EDID</key> <data> AP///////wBMo0VJAAAAAAARAQOAIRV4Cof1lFdPjCcnUFQAAAABAQEBAQEB AQEBAQEBAQEB7hoAgFAgEDAQMBMAS88QAAAZAAAADwAAAAAAAAAAACOHAmQB AAAA/gBTQU1TVU5HCiAgICAgAAAA/gBMVE4xNTRYQS1MMDEKAEE= </data> <key>AAPL01,Pipe</key> <string>0x00000001</string> <key>rom-revision</key> <string>OpenGL Engine activated via EFI String</string> </dict> Thanks, Alex

    We use an EFI injection file (first page / first post) for X3100, Sound and Ethernet. This file is a PLIST file in XML schemata. So this EFI injection + "old" FB + DSDT entry may work for your computer also?

    Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

    My computer is a lenovo x61 tablet (C2Duo, X3100). I got everything working now. My problem: There is no rotation possible on internal LCD-Display. The same thing on Apple laptops using the Intel X3100. Otherwise, connecting an external display (vga-port), rotation is working und usable. Is there a way (maybe DSDT hack?) making this feature available at internal displays?
