I don't understand any Apple technical terms (only bought mine yesterday!) so I have no idea whether or not this is the right place to post this cry for help - if not I apologise. Basically, my internet won't connect. I have a home network with I logged into and the AirPort is apparently 'on' but it has a 'self assigned IP address and may not connect to the internet.' ... well, it isn't connecting, so what do I do? I've tried the diagnostics thing but it just leads me around in circles, mainly because all these terms... eg: PPPoe (?) or... something, I don't know what to change anything to! Please help me? Thanks!
