    Bug Reporting

I'm using Path Finder and have enabled "Show Path Finder desktop" and "Disabled Finder's desktop". When I have enabled these options I get the following error when I use Pandora: "53:59: execution error: Finder got an error: Can’t get bounds of window of desktop. (-1728)". I never have encountered an application that has trouble with Path Finder.
  2. I actually found a DSDT.aml file that made the USB work. The DSDT provided by MaLd0n in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1655131 I also managed to get the NIC working with this kext: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1400776 So now everything works, except sound but I don't need that.

    Broadcom 570x and 575x

Does this work with later versions of Mac OS X than 10.6.3?
  5. I'm having a HP Z400 as well but I'm having problems with the USB. It just works sometimes, like 1 out 20 reboots. I've tried with USBBusFix=Yes but that didn't help. Any ideas how to solve this?

    Install SL on HP Z400

I installed a SATA controller card, Lycom PE 103, and manged to install Snow Leopard with VirtualBox and using raw data access. Everything is working except the USB and the network card. I can probably install a different network card but I need USB to work, I have to be able to use the mouse and keyboard. The USB works sometimes like 1 out of 20 reboots, I tried USBBusFix=Yes but that didn't help. Any ideas how to solve the USB problem?
  7. I have a HP Z400 computer I'm trying to install Snow Leopard on. The computer has the following specifications: Chipset: Intel X58 CPU: Intel Xeon W3530 2.8GHz RAM: 6GB CD/DVD: HP DVD-RAM GH60L NIC: Broadcom NetXtream Gigabit Ethernet I've tried to install SL with a Chameleon boot CD and a SL retail DVD. When I'm booting the SL DVD I get an error: "Still waiting for root device" I know this is a very common error but I've search on this site and tried different things, different boot options but with no luck. I've tried both with Chameleon RC3 and RC4 and SL 10.6.0 and 10.6.3. Among the boot flags I've tried are: cpus=1 busratio=20-25 arch=ACPI -f -x I've also tried switch the DVD and HDD ports on the motherboard. Any ideas?

This really starts to get annoying, no QE/CI, I can't view images in Preview, can't watch video clips in VLC, can't take screen shots, sleep doesn't work anymore (all these worked previously with my 8800 GTX card). Anyone have an idea how to solve these problems. I have an Asus GTX 470 card on an Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard. I have followed the instructions on the first post and the system seems to recognize my card, the System Profiler says: Chipset Model: GeForce GTX 470 Device ID: 0x06cd Revision ID: 0x00a3 ROM Revision: 70.00.21.00.03 VRAM (Total): 1280 MB

I manged to do that with a GTX 470 card using this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=184367. It's recognized as a generic nVidia card or something like that. But QE/CI doesn't work for me.

How did you manged to get QE/CI working? I also have the GTX 470 but I haven't been able to get it to work. The motherboard I have is Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4.

Anyone got QE/CI working? I have an Asus GTX 470 graphics card, I followed the instructions in the first page and it seems to detect the card. System Profiler reports the correct model and RAM. But QE/CI isn't working or at least it's not hardware accelerated. The menu bar isn't transparent and Exposé and Dashboard is really slow. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this.
  12. I have revision 2.1 of the GA-P35-DS4 motherboard. I have installed Leopard 10.5.2, guid, efi and almost everything works great. I have one IDE hard disk that Leopard is installed on and 7 NTFS SATA disks. The problem I have is that the same NTFS disks end up with different names almost every time I boot the computer. I also have NTFS 3g installed. And is it possible to rename the disks to something other than Untitled 1, 2 and so on.

    Can't Boot

I have the same issue(but without the beep) and similar hardware. I have the nforce 680i chip but on the asus extreme striker motherboard, same cpu. I tried both using a SATA disk and an IDE disk. And as phantomfsoc said it would be great to get some info if you got it working
